I was trying to get a room at this apartment complex. I found a room that was available on their web site. We told them exactly the room we wanted and when we needed to move in. We worked with the office staff for 2 hours, filled out all the forms and faxed them in. We contacted the local schools to ensure we could get what we needed. After all that, they then said "oh, that room isn't availble". It was leased yesterday. They had nothing else that would work for us.

I'm so glad they wasted our entire afternoon.

An apartment cannot be held without a deposit. The availability in apartments can change daily. If someone drags their feet and doesn't send back their deposit on a unit, and someone else wants to lease, the unit goes to the person who pays their money first.
