My roommate and I have been looking for an apartment for a while now, and we found these and liked the space and that they were affordable (we were looking at the duplexes). I found the ad in the newspaper and called the office SEVERAL times with no answer. Finally, we called the manager's cell phone number that was on the answering machine. She rarely answers the phone when you call her. I called her several times and even left voicemails and she NEVER returned ANY of my calls. I just wanted to ask a few questions about the unit before I moved in, but she never answered. I actually have never even spoke to her.

My roommate got in touch with her and we were pretty much instantly approved without even filling out an application which seemed rather odd. I still tried calling with just a few basic questions. No answer. After calling and leaving voicemails for two weeks we finallyt got in touch with her, and she set up an appointment for Friday at 1:30 to sign our lease. We both worked that day, so we worked our schedule around that time so we could make sure we could be there. Around 1:20, just 10 minutes before our meeting, the manager called my roommate saying she was "stuck in traffic in Austin", but we could still stop by and one of the maintenance guys would give us a key so we could FINALLY look at the duplex. I don't understand why she couldn't of called sooner KNOWING she wasn't going to be able to make it. Austin is 45 minutes away.

So, we went to look at the duplex. It has a very nice layout, but VERY trashy. The walls were dirty and several holes in the walls. The carpet was stained and there was an old couch in the living room. There were posters and stickers on the walls and groceries still in the pantry. The kitchen sink looked like it had old food in it, and there was a litter box in the laundry room. We called her complaining, so she said there was a second duplex that would be available for MONDAY. So we made preparations to meet up with her on Monday.

Monday came and I woke up extra early. I had plans for the evening with family, so I wanted to get it done early. I called her. No answer. I called her several times and left a voicemail. I even had my dad call her and he left her two voicemails. I stopped by the office, no one was there. I kept calling. Then she finally calls MY DAD.. NOT ME, and tells him that she had made plans with my roommate for TUESDAY at 4:30. Which is totally and completely untrue. My roommate and I had specifically made plans for Monday. So, we waste our Monday and then we have to wait half a Tuesday when we could be moving in.

Her management skills are poor and she is very disorganized. I'm afraid that if there were ever and maintenance problems that she would never answer her phone. I plan on contacting the owner, or anyone higher up than her. It hasn't been a pleasnt experience at all.
