PLEASE don't make the same mistake that we did in moving in here at Audubon Park Apartments. There is a reason that they have a 7% recommendation rate. It has been a constant string of disasters from move-in on. First and foremost is the water damage in the ceiling. This was present before we moved in and we were told that it would DEFINITELY be fixed before we moved in..... Yeah right. It is still there- 3 months and four maintenance requests later. Well it's there under the white spray paint that was their "solution" to the situation a few days ago so the mold can continue to grow as a treat for whoever gets sucked in here next I suppose. This was just the beginning of the problems. The fact that our AC was out for 3 days in the 105 degree July heat, only to be tended to when the AC unit started leaking into the floor of the apartment, didn't exactly leave us thrilled either. We can't keep anything in the fridge unless the container is waterproof as it either constantly leaks condensation from the top of it or is frozen solid no matter where you put the dials. The cockroaches and mice are a lovely gift upon move in that you get to keep for the remainder of your stay. You also get an enormous utility bill ($240 this past month) thanks to the fact that none of the doors actually seal. This place is so bad that I don't feel comfortable here home alone even during the day. As if all of this wasn't enough... When we brought up our issues to the office we were told we had to talk to the property manager, who, ironically enough can't make the decision to let us out of our lease as she has to talk to someone above her. Call me crazy, but shouldn't a property manager be the one to manage a property'' What a preposterous idea! The entire office staff have been nothing but pathetic at doing their jobs this entire time, and the corporate company that owns them is just as much of a joke not even calling when promised to discuss these issues. I know my opinions of apartment ratings were that they were only written by the bitchy people who were bad residents, but now I am fully aware they are from people who are honestly trying to help others not relive their own horrors. If nothing else comes from this, just please don't make the same mistake that we did. These apartments should be demolished, just as the other ratings said, so that no one has to deal with them ever again.

Don't even think about living here- Turn and RUN as fast as you can!
