THESE APARTMENTS LOOK GOOD BUT ARE LOW BUDGET. THEY NEVER FIX ANYTHING, THEY LOSE YOUR RENT. THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE STEAL YOUR RENT AND ACT LIKE YOU DIDNT PAY. THESE APARTMENTS SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG STAY IN THESE APARTMENTS. WHEN I MOVED MY LEASE WAS OVER AND THEY ARE NOW SAYING I BROKE MY LEASE. THE LAST TWO MONTHS I WAS LIVING THERE THEY LOST MY RENT THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID THEY FOUND IT BUT NEVER DID. THE SECOND TIME THEY NEVER FOUND IT AND I JUST MOVED OUT. NOW THEY SAY I OWE THE 2,000 DOLLARS.

When I moved out I gave my required notice plus last months rent and moved at the end of my lease. Thought everything was fine until 7 months later when I got a call from the collections agency stating I owe La Prada $2000 change. They claimed they never got the move-out notice but get this, they were still charging me rent from Jan til Apr even when I did not sign a new lease. I went there in april with tape recorder in hand to speak to the manager, she was hiding and peeping through the blinds. Anyway after, reporting them to the BBB, the Texas Attorney General and obtaining a lawyer, I was able to clear this charge, they ended up giving me my $75 deposit back, removed everything from the credit bureaus and wrote a letter of apology stating the employee at the time was going through personal problems and wasnt handling business correctly.

If it wasnt for the fact the I had letter from TXU and PHOne company stating my move-out, and me tape recording the conversation I had with one of their employees and a letter from my lawyer(pre-paid legal $25 month), they would have tried to trick me out of $2000 .
