GET OUT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!

This complex is disgusting.

I had to live there for four years before I could save up enough money to finally buy a house.

The buildings are so old that they have shifted.

There wasn't a straight wall in the entire apartment.

Not to mention the floors that sloped and dipped.

We also had a horrible problem with cockroaches.

One year we even had a mouse problem.

The bathroom above us flooded one day and our walls got water damaged.

They never fixed them even though we told them about it three times.

The floor around the toilet was all rotted too.

I'm surprised no one ever fell through the floor.

The worst part is that we bounced a rent check once.

It was a bank error and I told the office manager about it.

She said not to worry about it and that I could continue writing checks to them since I had been there for so long and never had a problem.

Six months later, I received a call at work after I had just dropped off my rent check in their drop-box that morning.

They said that I had to pick up my check and get a money order instead because they could no longer accept my checks since I bounced one.

I asked them why they waited so long.

It had been six months since my bounced check and the manager told me it would not be held against me.

They said they had just gotten an updated list of the people they cannot accept checks from.

That's how they treat residents who have been there for a long time.

Like ----.

The people working in the office are rude and stupid.

They don't understand a thing you try to ask them for.

They also tell lies.

When I was applying for my mortgage loan, the mortgage company needed rental verification from the complex.

I went around and around with the leasing office about this.

They wanted a thirty day notice before they filled out the form.

I told them that if I was approved, it would still be two to three months before I moved.

They still argued and said that it was illegal for them to give out any type of rental information without a thirty day notice from me.

I researched the laws in Texas and found out that in fact it was not illegal for them to do so.

It is left up to the property owner to decide what the policy is in such situations.

They still insist that it is illegal.

WHATEVER! When we closed on our house, we just picked up and moved without giving them a thirty day notice.

I should call the city on them.

I'm sure there are a ton of violations this complex has.

No one should ever pay to live in this rat hole!
