WIPE OUT THE MANAGEMENT STAFF.................

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
and this place would be an (just) ok place to live.
Loud noises from ghetto/trashy neighbors always cursing and arguing outside in the parking lots. Beer bottles have been broken on my balcony. Upstairs neighbor decided to dump their old rotten tomatoes off their balcony. Looks like they missed and made it perfectly into my balcony. The Lane might as well be called "CAT-VILLE @ Towne Crossing". I swear there are over 100 cats if not more running around breeding on the property. I have seriously watched them multiply over time. I can now match of mother and father of the kittens by color.
The managment team are the most rude, careless, non-cooperative people I have ever dealt with in my entire life. ****THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION**** I am sure alot of people have dealt with this same situation. You call into the office one time for a complaint because you can't live comfortably for whatever reason you may have, and all of the sudden you are treated like you are a problem resident, and nothing in the future you present to the management office will be taken seriously. Some of the maintenance staff looks like they might be on drugs ( i can say this because I have heard and wittnessed and witnessed a senario or two for myself, and they deff don't look like they are trustworthy to enter your apartment when you are not home. I have actually caught one of the leasing members with her boyfriend or "boy-friend" entering in a vacant apartment doing who knows what, but the looks on their face told the whole story when we made eye contact. I'm not stupid.
The interior of the apartments are horrible. They look ok when you see one vacant for the first time, then you move in and realize...I am living in the 80's all over again. The linoleum raises up off the floor, just to show that there is layers of other linoleum underneath. (that's just lazy work). The walls look like they have about 40 coats of paint on them. All except for the painted walls that have wallpaper still up behind the paint. (again lazy cheap work). The carpet is horrible. And NEVER NEVER beleive the leasing team when they say you have new carpet. You will figure it out the first few weeks of your move in when all the old stains start to lift and become visible. My how steam cleaning carpet fools all of us. The plumbing....expect to be awaken from your sleep when someone decideds to take a shower or bath in the middle of the night. The plumbing in the walls are terribly lound. NO KIDDING. You get this loud "kershhhhhing" sound the entire time until they shut the water off.
Now...I am sure there are happy residents at The Lane. I am not speaking for all the other people. I am just speaking from my experience. But I do have friends who have and still live there that have experience the same situations I have and are currently seeking a new home due to the poor management and lack of attention the management office provides. Not to mention some of the neighbors I have briefly talked with that are not happy either. There seems to be a pattern here and it speaks for itself.
WARNING: Remember most (NOT ALL), but most of the good feedback on these sites are submitted by the management office themselves to increase their poor rating and to make themselves look better. I also know this because I have friends in the business that actually leave the good feedback under bogus names. So don't be fooled by this. Also, keep in mind that the majority of the negative is there for a reason. Maybe some people exaggerate a little here and there, some more than others, but don't take their comments to lightly. In my case, these were my experiences. And I truly feel this way about The Lane, and I am looking forward to moving out and finding a more suitable community to call "MY HOME".
