Things Gradually Get Worse...
From: nomadic04Date posted: 9/22/2004
Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2000
I live in Pine Oaks when I first moved to Dallas in 1999. They were pretty well-kept, but that's about it. Management could care less about your air conditioner going out or your toilet running constantly. Especially since from the time I was there management changed 3 times. Before I left, the dumbass leasing agent (Jinni) was one of the managers. She lived on the property with her hood rat boyfriend and all she ever did was produce misspelled flyers to circulate.
They treated the residents like children and could care less about your needs.
When I finally left, I cleaned the apartment and re-painted the walls. They sent me a refund (after charging me for cleaning) for 55.00; shortly after I got the check, I recieved a bill from them stating that I owed 75.00 to 100.00 in cleaning fees, repainting fees and some other incidentals. How stupid!!! Why send me a check if I owe you money' Well, I didn't pay them anything. So be it. Don't move to these apartments; they will be very nice in the beginning, but things will get worse. Besides that, the noise is too much to bear, and the only way they are going to change your carpet is if you sign a new lease. Right before I moved, they requested that residents pay for their own water, because they claimed residents were abusing water.
Let me tell you about water: sprinklers run 24/7. Some are not sprinklers, they are more like uncapped hosepipes!!!! All too many times I had to go to management and ask them to turn the sprinklers down or off, so that I could get into my apartment.
Before Heather Creek moved in, snakes were always on the walkway.
