Shouldn't Be First Choice

I lived at Smith Ridge for only seven months and would not live there longer than that. The rent is cheap, but for the price you are not gaining anything. The office staff was terrible, eventhough I think in the end they changed out the staff.
When I first looked at the apartments I was told the deposit would have been $50 and then I came back the next day to be told the deposit was $200 by a different person.
Matience was terrible. I spent 2 months trying to get my front door fixed. It would not lock all the way so I always had to deadbolt my door to lock it. They talked big about security measures, and after living there I see why because of the other dwellers, and I believe a door not staying shut is a security problem on a first floor apartment. I had to send in 4 notices to finally get it fixed. Actually my wife finally used letter head from her law office at the time to get a timely response. So, if you know a lawyer ask them to help you out to get things done.
I have lived in only 3 apartments so far, but Smith Ridge was the worst.
