I have lived here for 2 years. Everynight of that 2 years I have had to sleep with earplugs. The tenants here in my area are college students who go in and out all night into the wee hours of the morning. The car stereos are so loud that it sounds like they are having a concert in the parking lot. The management is nice but the maintenance is horrible. I had a leak in my apartment two months ago. I was at my daughters when it happened. The fire department broke down my front door. They ripped up my carpet and the padding underneath. The apartments downstairs had their ceiling collapse. They moved out but I couldn't. My apartment is still in the same condition it was in 2 months ago. I gave my notice to vacate and so I guess they thought it would be okay not to fix anything until I moved. I have lived with mold, no padding under the carpet, the carpet cut up, the tile in the kitchen and the bathroom coming off, nasty smells, the front door molding still standing in the corner, etc. I asked if I could deduct some of the rent and was told no. I had to pay everything as always or would be evicted.

I now am finally moving and I can't tell you what a relief it is. My next door neighbors are in and out all day and night slaming the door as they leave. I know they smoke marijuana and drink like fishes. I can't believe that people live like this but they do.

Please reconsider if you are thinking of moving here. Unless you are a young, party type person who runs on little sleep and you don't care about the condition of your apartment, you should run as fast as you can away from Smith Ridge.
