So I know that other people have said that Smith Ridge is a terrible place to live, there are rats, and drugs, and noise....

A word to those people...it is an apartment complex. There is more than one family living in the entire building! things are not always the way you want it.

We have lived in these apartments for almost a year now and have had minimal problems. We have never had roaches or mice (maybe the occasional ant) and have never had a problem with the other tenants. Everyone has always been respectful and caring. We have never felt unsafe (my daughter can play on the balcony). Maintenance is always walking around picking up random pieces of trash and the dumpsters are rarely full.

The only problems that we really have is there is no light outside of the apartment (a recent problem) and the water is shut off about once a month for repairs (although not a problem in the last few months). About two months ago there were people in and out of the apartments to do insepections (which is a good thing) except for they didn't come within the days they said they would and I would come home to maintenance having been in the house.

Other than that, we have had a quiet and easygoing experience while staying here.
