I have lived in prescott for eight years. At first it was great. As the years went by undesirables moved in, maintenance entered our apartment without service call, the car was towed illegally, as well as broken into twice the last time being for and empty pack of cigarettes and some burned cd's. Other things included our laundry stolen from the laundromat or aka "clothes care center", gunshots in the middle of the night, people partying at the pool all hours of the night and morning (they stopped locking the gate and calling security did no good. our next door neighbors included a prostitute and drug dealer and a couple of potheads. Finally we transfered to a larger apartment away from the pool and things got worse from there.
Anita in the office insisted we hurry and sign the lease for the new apartment without seeing the actual apartment first. She actually got pretty angry that we wanted to see the place first. When we finally moved in the apartment had a list of things still wrong with it including no weather stripping on the front door, the bathtub resurfacing was peeling off, water damage on the living room window, the main front burner on the stove sets the smoke alarm off, the dishwasher was not bolted in and leaned forward when opened, rust in the bathroom sink that was painted over, the nozzle broke in the neighbors apartment upstairs and is was raining in the bathroom from the ceiling.
We also noticed the trash bins are always overflowing and one that had caught on fire is still being used.
It took six months to get maintenance to fix any of the problems and also found out that falltree apartments that used to be connected to prescott still uses our electricity.
We also have a cat that like to look out the window. So instead of him tearing up the blinds we leave them a quarter of the way open. We recieved a lease violation for having the blind open claiming that it was "unsightly". You would have to bend down to see into the apartment.
Overall we have always paid our rent on time and been model tenants yet we are treated like cattle in a "do as i say not as i do" prison. The security used also works on places in irving and can take hours to respond to a call.
This place has become downright horrible and only if you are desperate for a place to live then welcome to the ghetto.

This is the second time I have lived in Prescott Place and Anita is great. She is always helpful and nice. I don't have any problems with my property being broken in to, I don't use the laundry mat so I don't know about that but when I turn in a maintenance request it gets fixed promptly. There are a lot worse places in Mesquite to live and this is not on of them. At least the management cares here. I have been in mesquite ALL my life and I have NEVER heard a gun shot EVER.. Of course your gonna have some crime, that's to be expected anywhere you live. We live in a bad world full of bad people. But over all Prescott Place is one of the nicest older apartment homes in Mesquite. You get what you pay for. The rent is good and it's not the Ghetto.. I can show you the Ghetto and you can hear police siren's and gun shot ALL the time!!

we DO hear gunshots and sirens all the time..but maybe that's because of the drug dealers across the hall. but wait maybe that's you. but to be clear, that was the only time we had a problem with Anita. Otherwise she and her crew have been very nice and helpful. It is not their fault entirley for everything wrong here. mostly it's the element and lack of things being taken care of. Some more things to add inclde the laundromats keep getting broken into and stay broken for months. One laundromat has only a few units that work and one floods the whole room, only one dryer works right , the other has no heat. also forgot to mention that one wall socket in out apt knocks out the electricity in the kitchen and one socket in the kitchen puts out too much electricity.
