me and my husband moved to a remodeled 2 bedroom apartment right when we got married. it was pretty much all we could find in nederland open that took pets with 2 bedrooms. We have been here a year now, and overall, we have been very happy. But like anything, this apartment has the good and the bad. Ill start with the bad to get it out of the way. First of all, in the kitchen is the breaker box has no cover on it and it looks ghetto. They told us when we moved in they ordered the cover' well, we still dont have it... i know thats petty, but we hate it! The paint...is FLAT. and if you barely touch the walls they get dirty, and when you try to clean it, it dont clean. normally gets worse. I dont think they have EVER changed our air filters. The kitchen cabinets are small, we have no room for anything (but thats any apartment probaly) We have a downstairs, and in our bedroom is the back door. It is a big sliding glass door with some cheap white blinds that we HATE. they break everytime you open the door. we finally took then off and bought curtains and we will just buy some more when we move. it got bad. The water faucet in our bath tub broke and they never came and fixed it even after we called. if sprays hot water and burns us. When we moved in our small back yard was trashed, My husband had to spend like 3 hours cleaning it. They cheated us out of 50 bucks. When we moved in, we paid all of our deposits and such, and I put 50 dollars down to start paying our pet deposit...well, apparetnly they didnt document it. I even had on the lease we were bringing in a pet and then like the next month when i went to pay on the pet deposit they acted like they didnt know we had a pet...and i didnt have the receipt for the 50 bucks (bad move on my part) so i ended up having to pay 50 more bucks in the end which really made me mad!!! The washateria is okay, i never really used it. i would go to my mothers. but when i did it doesnt dry good. Now with the good. Both closets in each bedroom are large and i liked that. Dishwasher is nice, new cabinets, ceramic tile floor everywhere but the bedrooms,we have a nice little bookshelf in the hallway i use for pictures. we live in the back, and it is very quiet. Covered parking right in front of our back gate, which i like. My neighbors are all great and friendly. The managers are nice. I never used the pool i was pregnant all summer. The rent is cheaper than most places, although ours is going up from 650 to 700. (thats why we are moving)i loved how they are pet friendly. my dog means alot to me. Overall appearence of our apartment is nice. everyone always told us how nice our little apartment was. We also have a nice small fenced in backyard for our dog. The reason we are moving, we want somehting with a washer and dryer. It sucks doing your laundry other places. SO we found something much bigger and nicer with a laundry room until we buy our first home. Overall, i was happy here. It served its purpose. If you dont mind not having a washer and dryer, you should be pretty content here.
