Writing this, I understand that usually, you, or management can't do anything about neighbors. (maybe the management should use better discretion about who moves in...but, then again.. you really can't when you're desperate for rent money)
The success or quality of an apartment complex, I believe, lies full responsibility of the management. When you have managers change literally EVERY month, what would you expect' Balls get dropped. Nothing gets handled. So, residents got upset, left, and now the property has a low occupancy. The complex getting desperate, they started accepting section 8. (GUARANTEED rent money from the Federal Government) Don't even get me started there.
If you have a complaint that is not getting handled by local management, and you call the corporate office, Spartan Management Group, they WILL NOT return your calls. I have called them NUMEROUS times, and they WILL NOT call back. How pathetic is that'
They're just "making it." Meaning -- They just want people to pay their rent and not take care of anything. This property was really nice when it was a different management company. Edna and Jennifer were great!!! That's why I moved in.... but, unfortunately, the property got taken over by a different management company.
Black mold is in my bathroom - which can cause severe health problems. The management said.. "Oh, it's just dust." Disagreeing with what they said, I called the Tarrant County Health Department. It did, in fact, test for Black Mold. The management company has YET to do anything about it... (3 months later...) and they won't let me out of my lease.
It's pretty quiet around here. The buildings seem to be built pretty well. I RARELY hear my neighbors -- just too bad for all the white trash neighboring kids that knock on your door asking if you want to buy their used coloring books.
They have GREAT lease renewal offers!!! Only because they're desperate to keep residents.
The main thing that really sucks about this property is that Spartan doesn't give a damn. It's a nice complex if they would just put some rent money into the place -- the only time you hear from management is when you're paying rent.
Overall - not happy. Not bad for the price of $499 for a decent one bedroom apartment.
