Misleading, Terrible Customer Service

I am astonished at the business practices at Diamond Loch. I was offered a short term consulting contract for 6 months in the North Richland Hills area. Not being familiar with the DFW area real estate offerings I went against my first instinct and instead of contacting a realtor specializing in apartments, I submitted my information to an online multi-apartment service (MISTAKE) Diamond Loch was the first to respond and it turned out to be 3 blocks from the area I would be working. When I was contacted I was very clear that I was looking for a 6 month lease in an apartment that was decent, functional and not too expensive because I was not selling or renting my home in my home state. I asked what specials they had available and I was told that if I moved in between November 1 and 10 I would receive a discounted lease rate for the entire lease term and 1/2 off the first months rent. As a realtor, I asked the common questions regarding total move-in costs (ap fee, hold fee, deposit, water, garbage, etc) and was ONLY quoted $150 hold fee, and $80 in application fees plus the 1/2 first months rent $230 due upon lease signing. I also let them know that time was an issue because I was working on a condensed timeline and needed to coordinate moving services for delivery no later than November 1. After promptly returning all the documents, I waited... and waited... and called, and waited, and waited... After 10 days of calling and getting the "...the application is at the corporate office" I finally received the offer via email... Total move in and initial costs = $968.00! It did not reflect the quoted rental rate, the discounted first month, and contained a significant number of other fees that were not disclosed to me even though I asked. They seemed to have conveniently "not mentioned" that the specials I was quoted were not available on the 6 month lease term. I withdrew my application and asked for 1. My $150 hold fee. 2. The name of the corporate owner. 3. The property managers contact. All they sent me back was a copy of the refund receipt. I cannot comment on any living experience at Diamond Loch, but their misleading sales tactics and poor customer service reflect a poor brand experience and thus gives validation to the negative reviews on this site. The other glaring issue with the high positive score is the discrepancy between this property and other similarly priced and located properties with much lower positive scores. The logical explanation is that either the corporate owner or the management of Diamond Loch are responsible for writing and posting the positive reviews on here to try and balance out the negative; Once again, a very misleading tactic of manipulation. I would avoid Diamond Loch altogether. After contacting a licensed realtor in the DFW area specializing in rental properties, I found the perfect rental location. Even the realtor mentioned that Diamond Loch had a bad reputation and I was better off that they screwed things up. STAY CLEAR! CALL A REALTOR!

I completely agree with everything you have posted. They have shady business practices. There is no corporate office, --. --- and his LLC run the place. Check the Tarrant County Tax Office records.

If you live here or use to live here sue. You can get a lawyer at www.prepaidlegal.com.....This place is, as I speak under investigation for illegally using another company names claiming there corporate when this company has NOTHING to do with this place. Also there are tons of other things going on here that are not legal. Lawyers at prepaid legal have had so many complaints about this place its unreal. So if your thinking about moving here, please reconsider. This place is the hood. Its quiet in the day time but at night its another world. The owners are VERY money hungry. There was a hell storm about 2 years ago i think that broke out windows, put holds in the siding, etc..don't you know that it took over 2 months for them to fix the window in my daughters room. Instead they spend thousands of dollars getting the parking lot painted..lol..theres more to tell I could go on. I was actually friends with one of the maintenance guys and he told me EVERYTHING that went on and so with that being said i have proof of the shady business going on here. I told --. ---, Tonya..etc that when i left this place i was going to take them down for everything they have going on. I guess they thought I was playing with them, not only do I have the Texas apartment association looking into this place, I have an lawyer and also Saul Garza investigation as well as long as you have proof they will take care of you...if you guys need any help contact them they will help no matter what the good so call good reviews say this place is anything but good.
