I recently moved out of Diamond Ridge and I lived there for 1 year. I had the biggest apartment in sq. foot and it was very spacious, I liked it a lot. The maintenance people were very nice and attempted to help with my problems within that day. Management was nice to me probably only because I was never late on any payments and never really complained about much. But I must say there are a lot of cons. My bills were outrageous, I understand I did have a big apartment but I have never had a $360 electric bill any where I have lived. I checked everything Fridge temps, water heater, ac was always on 78 (which was still extremely hot. Never felt like 78 to me.) Everything was normal. I personally think it was the ac unit; it must have been too small for my apartment. Also ANTS were infested everywhere!!!!! I am an extremely clean person and still had an ant problem, and I m not just talking about a couple, I mean a whole colony would be in my kitchen pantry all over my food. It was disgusting and I alerted management several times to only have the EXTREMELY RUDE pest control guy come out and do nothing! If it wasn t for me buying raid from the store I would have had ants everywhere. The ants were there the entire year I was and were never taken care of. Also for them running background checks before a tenant can live there I would have expected fewer drugs. I knew of 2 drug dealers selling out of their apartments, one living above me!!!! It smelt like pot all day every day, not good for a family environment, it got very annoying! The management is very unaware of what is going on there, which is pretty pathetic. I must say I am glad to be out of there.

If you smelled marijuana all the time, why didn't you notify the courtesy officer or the police? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Very well written!! YES!! The ANTS are horrible here!! I fought ants all summer. When I called the office they told me that they spent $6k for a contractor to spray for the ants. But a month after they so called sprayed,,,the ants were still in full force. The inside of my car even got attacked 3 or 4 times this summer with ants. The swimming pool area was also covered with ant most of the summer too. However, I have actually had very good electric bills while living here. I keep my apartment at 78 degrees during the summer and my highest bill has been $150. And my average bill rarely reaches $100. I am happy with that cause I am a rather heavy user on electric. As far as drugs go, I haven't seen any. But I am pretty sure the office would take swift action if they knew you were smelling pot daily. I still think this place is a good value for the $$$$. The mgt just has a few things to work out

Yes the drug dealer part is TRUE!!! I have attempted to contact the apt officer who is NEVER on duty. The apts know about this and ignore it as long as they get the rent every month. This place is becoming a sewer of pot smoking teens.
