I lived at Remington Oaks for 1 year the worst year of my life. I did not get to see the apartment before I moved in and was horrified when i finally did. I was promised by the office staff that I would be able to see my apartment before I moved in that was a lie. On moving day, which by the way you cannot move in until after 5:oo pm on fridays, I walked in to find dirty carpet. My carpet had not been cleaned and there were stains everywhere! I was told when I leased the apartment how nice the fireplace was, actually it was a white fireplace with yellow stains all over it. After one month of living there the major problems began. I always had plumbing problems and one day I come home to find that my downstairs toilet had started to flood my apartment. Not to mention that the month before my upstairs toilet had also started to flood. the toilet ran constantly, ane veentually I couldn't even use my downstairs one. When I would shower the water would run down the wall and somehow end up on my front porch. When I would flush the toilet the water would end up on my sidewalk. Then I had carpenter ants that I could not get rid of! Which finally after a month of living with them and many cans of raid later they got an exterminator out to spray for. I was told by the exterminator that they would come back the next year unless he got to get into the walls and spray which they would obviously not fit the bill for that. Next for a month there was nothing but a hole in front of my apartment,which was supposivly there to fix the plumbing probelm but did not resolve at thing. When I moved the problems still existed and I lived there for a year.There was never any hot water there were 7 boilers for 600 apartments! Not to mention only 6 maintenance men, so if you wanted something fixed it would be a month later or never. My friend also lived there and had roaches the whole time and one day came home to a kitchen sink full of hair among other things. The parking was horrible and the office staff was rude. The manager was nightmare and the corporate office was no help they would never return your phone calls. But worst of all there was sewage on the side of my apartment. Not only would water run down the sidewalk but so did anything I flushed down the toilet! This is not a lie I actually have video footage. I never felt safe in that complex and there was never a policeman patrooling as they promised. When I moved out I got a bill for my carpet and a drip pan under the refrigerator, which who would have ever thought to check. I had to move in on wet carpet because they had not cleaned it which I explained tot hte assistant manager and he told me that I should've waited to move then,although that was myscheduled move in date. He was no help and I had to pay them. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!!! It is the worst mistake you could ever make!

I absoluely agree, I have lived at Remington apartments for over 4 months now. I live with a friend, infact i live on his couch // im sort of a Bumm who surfs the net and smokes bud all day // None the less Remington Oaks sux the Big one. Do not move here not worth it kids.

I can agree with all of these posts!!! As of 1/14/09 do not move to these apartments!!!!! They have a new staff but they are jut as bad as the last staff. No one knows what they are doing. They towed my car illegaly and did not give the 7-10 days notice like they are supposed to. The reason why it was towed? They said it "looked" abandoned. WTF??!!! If your car is not "new" they might tow the damn thing! Plus, heat didnt work for over a month. From 11/23/08-12/26/08 my heat did not work and come to find out it never did! In November it got cold and it was the first time I had to use my heat and it didnt work. On top of that, the maint. crew are not certified to work on half of the stuff they do fix. I repeat, none of them have certification to work on the HVAC systems and boilers. Thats why they are always broke and no one has hot water. THE ABSOLUTE WORST APARTMENTS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! And its because of Remington Oaks that I will NEVER EVER rent an apartment again. Im currently in the process of taking them to small claims court just to get the money back on the car. Good luck finding an apartment but save yourself the trouble and find another place or just go get a house! If you didnt trust a complete strangers advise, now is the time!

I have recently moved from these apartments. It truly was the YEAR FROM HELL! Do not - under any circumstances - move into this place. I appreciate all of these long e-mails that describe the details of your woes. I could write all day. I count my blessings that I finally got out of that mold- and roach-infested hell-hole. The office hated me - I was there at least once a week telling them whatever workorder I asked for had still not been completed. I wrote a letter, I threatened to call the city. It never really mattered with those people - they would just say a work order got done - and rarely did it actually get completed. I don't care how cool the floorplans look - or how much money you think you will save. It is an ILLUSION I assure you! $60 water bills! I live in a house now and they are less than $30. If you value your safety and your health - steer clear of these apartments. I repeat - STEER CLEAR!
