I moved into the apartment in august of 2004. The day that i received my keys to move in i went in the apartment and the carpet was horrible. There was red ink stains and what looked to be urine stains everywhere. I went back immediately to the office and they said "Well we had the guys come in and shampoo the rugs" I told them i wanted new rugs put in before i moved in. The woman at the office told me that i would cost to much to recarpet the whole apartment and asked me if i would be satisfied if they just carpeted the living room. UH NO!!! Finally after threatening to not move in and getting a lawyer they agreed to have someone come out the next day to replace the carpet. Next was that i had fruit flies coming out of my garbage disposal. They simply told me to deal with it. The burner plates on the oven never fit. The blinds in the kitchen were 3 inches short on each side so anyone could clearly see into my apartment. They would not fix that either. The bedroom window would leak like a running faucet every time it would rain. Called maintenance every day for a week. The maintenance guy finally came in and said he didnt have the part to fix it. It never got fixed. They also say that they have alarms in the apartment that is included in the rent. Mine never worked. I called the alarm company they told me to call the office. I called the office and they told me to call the alarm company. My alarm never got fixed. Over memorial day weekend my apartment got broken into. The office just said oh im sorry and that was it. They told me that if i wanted to i could break my lease and they would pay for all the charges and i would not have to pay anything since the alarm was not working. I moved out and a month later i got a bill for $1200.00 because i broke my lease. I got a statement from the manager in writing about me not having to pay anything and she denied she every wrote such a thing and that i forged it.... I'm still getting calls from a bill collector for the money.. The only thing nice i can say about this apartment is that Eva and Dawna are wonderful...but however DONT MOVE HERE... YOU WILL GET SCREWED ROYALLY!!!
