7-2-08 around 6:00-6:30 pm I got a knock on my door. He said, "Maintenance man". I asked him what he wanted through the door, since he didn't look like any of the maintenance men I have encountered in the 2 years of living here. He said, "I need in to check the leak in your roof". The problem is I have no leak in my roof. I called Remington Oaks Apartment Office to ask them if they had sent someone, or if maybe the maintenance man had the wrong door. They said "not that we're aware of" but I was told the manager, Claudia, would call me back after speaking w/ the maintenance men, to let me know if it was one of their workers. 20 minutes passed. I called 911, to make a police report. Still had not heard from the office. They knew who I was when I called and that it was just me and my 5 month old daughter. Hubby was at work. The police talked to the maintenance men, and told me it was not one of their men, and to keep my door locked and close. A problem like this had happened not too long ago w/ another resident, they got robbed. I found it on apartmentratings.com confronted the apartment complex office, and asked them why they didn't send out a notice to keep other residents safe. They told me that there was no police report to confirm it, other wise they would have, and that the resident was using it as an excuse to get out of their lease and they were just liars. They also some how managed to delete it off of this site and for they also KEEP UP WITH WHAT IS POSTED HERE (HOPE UR ENJOYING THIS CLAUDIA.. Told you word of mouth is a WITCH ;)) Well now that I have police report they have not sent out a notice to inform other residents, nor have they apologized to me and my family for what they DID NOT do, and what could have happened. If I can make this aware to other folks in the area and possibly save a life that is great. How many people would have normally just opened their door hearing "maintenance man"' Quite a few...

My front door, upstairs porch roof is FALLING OFF, still not fixed! I will b taking pictures about our roof and contacting the building inspector.
