A word of reason: Most times these review websites are heavily skewed towards the negative, as the majority of the people who post reviews come with an axe to grind. I would advise anyone reading reviews on any apartment to take all accounts with a grain of salt. Everyone's experience is different, but that is often not due to the apartment community itself, and more often due to the personality of the reviewer.
That being said, here is my own experience with Remington Oaks Apartments.
I approached living in Remington Oaks with caution. I rented a one bedroom apartment sight-unseen, after relocating to NRH from Indiana. I almost closed my eyes as I walked in; afraid that it might be a disaster. I was nothing but pleasantly surprised at the quality and cleanliness of the apartment. For a 30-something year old complex, Remington Oaks is very clean and well-kept. For the price you really can't beat the square footage. The apartments are well-maintained. Everything worked when I moved in. The carpet was spotless, and the walls were freshly painted. The grounds are sufficiently kept.
The staff in the office are friendly, helpful and informative. The staff do rotate fairly often, but that is common at a property managed by a large company, and it does not have a negative effect on the performance of the staff, as they are all well-trained. I have always been treated respectfully, and with great aplomb.

You have to work there because this is the exact opposite of almost everyones' reviews. When we moved in the ONLY clean thing was the carpet. There were months of blacked caked on dust on the fans and the bathrooms were disgusting. I know a guy that has lived there for a long time and the only good thing he says is that it is cheap and he doesn't mind the bugs so much. Yours is not an honest opinion (it is biased and obvious)-that apartment is horrific and anyone that reads this needs to understand that. THIS IS NOT A REAL OPINION! This is something entered by an employee of the complex (probably the manager) or someone from the management company!! Please read all of the other reviews that have almost the exact same complaints.

Is so fake! I just talked to a friend who lives there and the staff aren't friendly or helpful. Maintance sucks, and the rent is not cheap. Is obvious this is someone from the apartment office, instead of going on-line they should be working. My friend has roaches in her apartment since august, the AC doesn't work, etc I live in the next door apartments (8500 harwood) and I am very happy here, I feel bad for my friend and hope she can move out soon!
