I've livied in Remington Oaks for 14 months. For the money, it's a decent place to live in a good location. I really like my floor plan in my 1 BDRM apt. I have a few complaints though, which have been troublesome my entire stay.

Most notably, management does not always do what they say they will do ... so expect at times to spend extra time following up to get things done.

First of all, Remington Oaks advertizes tennis courts, but the tennis courts near my apartment have never had nets. I asked about them several months ago and was told they were on order but they never put them up. To this date we still don't have nets. So, they advertized they have tennis courts, but tenents can't play tennis on them.

Second, they do not keep the outdoor building lights in working order, consequently it's very dark in several of the parking lots in the complex. If you have elderly family members and small children this can be a hazard. I asked about lights over 8 months ago, and was told they were ordered, but they have never installed them. The parking lot at my building only has two spaces that are lighted at night, thus we experience increased risk of accidents and theft.

Third, it took me 6 months of making phone call after phone call to the Remington mgmt. and the company that they contract out the laudry facilities to to get hot water in our laundry room. It turned out to be a Remington issue, but only under pressure could I get them to take the time to fix the issue. They did though, give me a 20.00 laundry card for my efforts. By the way, as I said, the laundry rooms are contracted out to Web Laundry Services Co. Expect problems if you have any breakdowns in the laudry room. You can only call Web during daytime hours, so if you work you will need to remember to take the number with you so you can call them. Keep up with names when you call, becuase 50% of the time, they never show up.

There is usually trash all over the place(around my building it was beer bottles and hundreds of cigarette butts laying around everywhere from one lady who lived in the building next to me.

Free VHS and DVD rentals from the office. Pools are decent. I have wood look lineoleum in my dining area and kitchen which was nice. They do a great job of keeping the grass mowed and bushes trimmed. Rents tend to stay the same.

My overall review of the complex is that they are either understaffed or disorganized or both. It is decent though, and with some effort they could fix the problems they have.

Even with the issues, the office staff were very curteous and professional at all times when I dealt with them.
