This my reason for moving out contained in my moveout letter:
Remington Oaks Apartments
1601 Weyland Drive
N Richland Hills, Texas 76180
HAND DELIVERED
Dear Management,
Please let this serve at my 60 day notice to vacate.
The date of completion to move out will be August 10th, 2009.
The reason is as follows:
1. Failure to take corrective action on the above apartment neighbor 2086 to wit:
2. Continuous dumping of massive cigarette buts and trash from his balcony to mine and his refusal to remove same;
3. Repeated 3AM parties that disturb and wake me and resulted in his arrest here;
4. His arrest on DWI (Driving Under the Influence) and PI (public intoxication) charges and then his return from jail with no demand to vacate the premises;
5. Animal abuse as he kept his dog on that balcony during storms and heavy rain and did not return to feed and water same resulting in a dog that always was crying and barking;
6. Failure to correctly repair my air conditioning system from a leak that requires several trips a month to recharge and has resulted in extremely high electrical billing;
7. Neighbors that are allowed to hang-out in the breezeway smoking and talking loud at all hours of the day and night to include barbequing in the breezeway against rental policy with n corrective actions taken when complained about;
8. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes despite my requests to service it;
9. The refrigerator constantly leaks a puddle of water every 3 days on the floor;
10. The bathroom electrical socket continuously trips the breaker causing a possible fire hazard and that socket is not equipped with a socket isolator as required by the fire department.
For each of these problems that you have refused to address I am requesting 10 extra days of free rent to add in my relocation expenses since it has become obvious you do not care to meet your responsibilities in the contract lease.
Furthermore legal action is being considered in the above 10 complaints.
This is an official document and complaint/move-out notice, please treat this seriously.
Singed,

Good for you! More people need to bring legal action against this complex AS WELL AS their parent company!!

I would love to find out the real name and address of the parent company. I sent certified letters of complaint for residence (when I lived there) and got little or no resolution. I moved in March (22nd) and then ended up with an astronomical move out bill! The nerve after everything that they refused to do and everything that they cost me with the on going Heating and Cooling issues that I had.
