My husband and I lived at the SIlver Creek apartments for 3 years. We moved out last August and never heard anything from the office regarding our deposit. In March of 2006, over 7 mos after vacating, we began recieving phone calls from a debt collector, saying that we owed almost $200.00 in debt. This was the first we had heard of any problems. We left our apartment clean and did not owe them anything. We later came to find out that the debt collector had been docking our credit since January, yet didn't even try to contact us until March. We called to try and come to some understanding with Silver Creek, and they manager wouldn't even talk to us. She was completely avoiding of the situation, rude and intolerant. She would not admit any guilt or wrong doing and refused to help us resolve the issue. They are liars at Silver Creek, and only try to bully you into paying for things you didn't do. One of the expenses they are trying to charge us for electricity. The bill they sent us shows the dates of use starting on the day we turned our electricity OFF. Unless they turned our power back on without our permission, and then went in our apartment and USED $65.00 of power without our permission, I do not see the legality of charging us for something we TURNED OFF!
