Complete Misery!!

Where to start'' If you are considering this complex, don't let the outside appearance fool you. It's very appealing to the eye and the grounds are kept very nice, but the shortcuts that are taken in other areas will make you soon forget about that!
If you don't like ANTS in your apartment, read no further and go somewhere else. This complex has been taken over by pharoah ants and the management really doesn't care to spend the money to rid the area of the pest. You can personally spray all you want, but you'll always have ants in your apartment - guaranteed!
While the apartments are roomy and nice, they are put together rather cheaply. The walls are paper thin and you'll "get to know" your neighbors pretty quickly. Someone speaking at normal conversation level can easily be heard through the walls - so you can only imagine what else you'll soon be hearing... If you are on the first floor, you'll feel like a herd of elephants inhibit the space above you with all the loud thumping you'll be hearing.
I've reserved the "best" for last...and that is the office staff. While they have recently hired at least one new person, they are still lacking in customer service and really don't have any respect for their tenants. The office hours suck - and there is no other way to put it! They close at 5:30 pm, although the doors are typically locked by 5:20 pm...hmmm... For a normal working adult with 8-5 hours, you are out of luck if you think you'll make it home to get assistance, a package, or even attempt to pay your rent - period. In the event that you decide to call the office, you'll most likely get the answering service. If you get someone that actually works at The Bluffs at Iron Horse, you'll be met with attitude and an utter lack of interest in assisting you with any issue. Don't bother voicing a complaint, they don't care, nor will they do anything to attempt to resolve your issue anyway.
As you can tell from the other reviews for this location, I am not alone in my displeasure for The Bluffs at Iron Horse and the on-site management. Please do yourself a favor and consider other locations before this one, otherwise you'll be writing a similar review as mine...

why is it that the only people who post on this website are the ones who are mad because for some reason they feel like hey have been done wrong. the office hours are from 8:30 pm - 6:00 pm and the staff is rather accommodating to any special requests. i call the office pretty often seeing as how i have packages arriving weekly and only remember getting the answering service once. whats the the whole thing with paying your rent? there is a night drop box for this very reason so you dont have an excuse. and by the way i'm not afraid to put my name on this! Yes, there is a drop box. I found out about it in month three. That was about the time they finaly got my mail box to work. At this time, the out mail slot is still not secured. And, yes, the office is too often locked. Perhaps Shawn has not had pest control or water leak issues. These are also healh issues and should be addressed immediately. However, even when requested in writing, they are not. Folks are still living with active leaks, rodents, ants, mold, weather damage, green locked pools and hot tubs. They have advertised that the amenities are beyond belief. They have advertised that there is a golf pro, gym, personal trainer, and a store, among others. Of those four mentioned, there is a gym. In which, the equipment is dated and one of the two treadmills does not work due to electrical problems. They represent that they are a gated comunity. Maybe, the gates are finaly being worked on. However, too often they are open for anyone to enter without authorization. And, they have been broken for so long that folks still pay no attention whatsoever to the entrance and exit only signs. Speed limits are never enforced nor observed, so you take a big chance trying to walk to the office to fill out that work request. Then there are the abandoned vehicles with smashed front or back ends and broken windshields. My favorite is that white one parked in the fire laned right by the fire hydrent, along with the other eight or so cars that like to park in the same fire lane. Who can blame them. It is the fire lane or the mud, out on that side of the property. And, my all time favorite feature, all the pit bulls, english bulls, boxers, and shepard mixes; especially the one on a 25' teather that dumps in on my neighbors patio. So much for their lovly view of the golf course. It comes with a stinky price. What is worse a dog on a 25' teather or one that runs loose? And, is that a personal problem or a management issue. Maybe both! I would say, live and learn. But, don't say you didn't know any better. And, yes the managers have changed. I would say, at least three times in three months. Where she stops, nobody knows. It is a great piece of property. It is shame to see it not living up to expectation.
