I guess I got a good apartment in the complex. It is very quiet we don't hear anything. Parking is about 10ft from our door. The apartment is very nice inside, harwood flooring, crown molding, very nice neutral colors, garden jacuzzi tub, balcony, nice appliances, the only problem we have had is our water heater wasn't working when we moved in, we called and they came the next day and everything is working great now. Rooms are spacious, a/c and heater cool and heat the apartment quickly. The only downside is you have to pay $25.00 to get a remote key to open the fitness center after hours, and right now there is only one treadmill working. The gates have been functioning, office staff is courteous and attentive. Very glad we chose these luxury apartments, plan on staying here awhile since we are expecting our first child.

Either you work here or you just got very lucky. Isn't it a coincidence that you and one of the office staff are expecting a baby at the same time. The longer I have lived here the more I can see how shoddy and over priced the place is. Faucet in the tub about to fall off, toilet leaks, dishwasher make a noise like a dying elephant. You must have got one of the old demo apartments as the flooring in our kitchen looks like it belongs on the floor of a country & western bar.
The noise level just gets louder as the week-end gets closer. People stomping up stairs and slamming doors downstairs. The trash problem is a joke and never gets any better.
It's a good thing you get to park "10 feet" from your door, otherwise you and your new baby would have to either park in the mud or walk a block to get to your new "home".
I still say skip the over blown, over priced place.

You certainly got lucky. I don't nit-pick about the small things, but I certainly wont be renewing due to a lot of things, and most are due to the lack of caring from the mgmnt. They told us they cleaned our apartment and shampooed the carpets before moving in ... our white socks turn black in 15 minutes of walking in the apartment and all of the furniture marks were still deep in the carpet ( a good indication they lied about that one). We've asked them twice if they would get it shampooed but at first they lied and said it had been done, then another office person told us it hadn't and they'd send someone over ... they never came. There was urine on the toilet seat, hooks and wires all over the place from the previous tenant, magazine clippings still taped to cupboards and medicine cabinets from the previous tenant. It's like they never walked back into the place once the previous people.
Most of my beef with the place is the tenants anyway, I don't think there's more than 10 people in the complex over 25, leaving about 90% of the population with the college age mentality where they haven't outgrown their parties where people piss and puke out their front doors and crank their stereos until 5 am.
As far as the poster above "nit picking" about, a place that was built only 4 or 5 years ago shouldn't have those problems ... the place is brand new compared to 80% of complexes in the DFW area, most seem to be built in the 80's. So about the leaky toilets, falling faucet, and groaning dishwasher shouldn't be an issue, seriously making the place of shoddy build. Take a look at the picture someone posted on here that shows the mold damage from rain. When my neighbor above me runs any of her water, it drips down in the walls, I can hear it running down the walls (and not the pipes like it's supposed to) so I don't think the place was put together with longevity in mind.

I agree these things sound horrible and after reading these reviews before we moved in I was scared but so far have been pleasantly suprised. I do believe you about the carpet thing, we have carpet on our stairs which they told us that it was going to be replaced and when we moved in the carpet was wet and noticeably recently shampooed. Sorry that so many have had a bad experience. I guess it's the luck of the draw here.
