Not So Happy Renters

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
First of all the apartment they showed us before we moved in had a dividing door in the upstairs bathroom which was a huge selling point for us. When we moved in the apartment they gave us didn't have it, they had sealed it in by painting over it. When we asked them to fix it they never did. Second, the way they bill the water here is completely unfair. They take the water usage for the entire complex and divide it according to the square footage of your apartment and how many people you have on your lease. So if you can afford a bigger apartment and only have two people living in it you are going to pay more than someone who has a smaller apartment and people living with them who aren't on their lease. Our water bill almost doubled in one billing cycle and we had even been out of town for a few days that month. Third, don't EVER be late with your rent. We've been here a year and have NEVER been late with our rent even once. When we hit a rough patch and needed a little extra time one month they wouldn't work with us at all. They told us they would file papers for eviction and we would have a bunch of fees added on to what we owed even though we had already paid them half of it and only needed another week or so. Really' That's how we get treated after having been here a year and never been late or caused any problems' That's awful. Not to mention the fact that the apartment we are living in we are paying $725.00 for but they're only going for $700.00 and they tried to act like they were giving us a deal by not upping it when we reluctantly had to renew our lease. And finally, it's almost impossible to talk to who you need to talk to in the office. You can go in three days in a row and they will always tell you she's busy and if you leave a number she won't call you. It's extremely frustrating. Oh yeah, and you will hear people walking around all night whistling to each other and the kids around here seem to be totally unsupervised and like to hang out and climb all over the balconies of vacant apartments.
