2 Thumbs down, the worst apt I've ever lived in...

I just moved out after the longest year of my life. Perhaps the mixed reviews are due to different areas of the complex. So to be fair, I lived in building --.
Near my building, there is a lot of noise. I called the police many times on other tenants. I witnessed domestic violence (a woman screaming "HELP! Somebody help me!" while physically fighting with her boyfriend, another time a man in the parking lot screamed and threatened a woman on her balcony, and the third time a couple with a baby in their arms were having a physical fight on the lawn). Three times I heard gunshots outside my bedroom window. There is constant loud thumping music at all hours of the night, vibrating the walls and floor. There are a lot of drug deals going on in the parking lot on any given night, and idle teens hanging out, waiting for you to make eye contact so that they can try to bully and taunt you. Safety is a real concern here.
The apartment complex itself if supposed to be "luxury", but that is evident in the price alone. For most of my time there, the manager I dealt with was ---------. I've never met someone so rude in the customer service industry. She is condescending, nasty and dishonest at all times. I noticed that a few things were falling apart, aesthetically, such as the paint, and I was told they were about to paint everything. A year later, they never painted. My dishwasher NEVER worked properly, from the day I moved in. I put in many work orders, and the creepy maintenance guy would come in and fiddle with it, but the problem was never resolved. One time when I came home from work, I found my door open and he was lazily lounging on my kitchen floor, elbow propped up, head in his hand, and said he was "listening to the dishwasher". He did not bother to get up when I got there, just continued to "listen" from his spot, sprawled on my kitchen floor. The other maintenance I requested was barely even attempted. When I moved in, the floor tiles in the entry, bathroom and kitchen were peeling up and torn and ruined. A couple of them were arbitrarily replaced, and the rest were left to be nasty, dingy and torn.
I never understood why the tap water smelled of sewage mixed with sulfur, but I don't recommend drinking it. That can't be healthy!
Around my building, the parking is impossible. Anytime that I got home after 6pm, I had to park 3 buildings away, by the garbage dumpster, and walk past the jeering teens and drug dealers.
Also, beware of walking in the grass! People do not clean up after their pets, and maintenance does not clean up either.
I suspect that a number of the positive reviews on here were written by management or at best, tenants at the other end of the complex are very different from mine. The drug problem is so obvious in my area, as is the noise issue.
For the prices they are charging (my 3rd floor 1 bedroom is up to 850 now), one would expect true luxury living. I had a nicer place in Manhattan, with a doorman and elevator, for less money than that!
