Riverhorse Ranch is pretty place to live. I thought so for the 1st year I lived here. Don't be fooled though, my rent has increased by $150 in the last year. The water bill, which is allocated has lingered aound $56 and does not include trash. This is amount is for a 2 bed 2 bath for 2 people.
This apartment has a pool, sand volleyball, and huge gym, tennis courts and a full size basketball court. These things remain the same so why the large hikes in rent. If you don't mind the jumps in rent, this is the place. If you're like me - well, I have two suggestions: buy a house or move to a complex around the corner - you will trade, volleyball, and full basketball court for lower rent, cable and internet included, and water billed per unit. I'm sure you want have the bug problem that I have here. It's a no brainer to me, folks.
There was blood on the blinds and knats coming out of the kitchensink and master bathtub. The dishwasher did not work. That has been fixed and broken several times. The first 4 months, bugs were in the apartments. They got rid of the ants after about 2 weeks. It took four months and numerous phone calls to get rid of the roaches. I was told by the office to get some Raid to supplement what the exterminators did. After threatening to call Terminix and bill the apartment, they got the exterminators to do the job. At least better, (ie. they are no longer in my bed or crawling on my child's clothes) but come back around. The exterminator said to me once "you only have one or two roaches, it's not like it's infested". For this amount of rent, I should not have to put up with this problem at all. After the lease was over, my rent was raised $40. You get what you pay for right...not here!

Did you have the bug problem at Riverhorse Ranch or at the new complex?

At RiverHorse Ranch.
Since then, I had to call them again and go to the leasing office to express, and I do mean express that the problem should be rid of once and for or fire the exterminators. I asked them how would they feel to be living with roaches. I was told that my obvious frustration and quite frankly total dissatifaction was unproductive and wouldn't solve anything. I told the leasing lady that nothing else had worked so far.
Well folks, the exterminator came this past Monday, we'll see.
By the way, just in case you are wondering, I'm searching for a house, that's why I have not moved yet. I found a crack in the doorway, looks like that may be the cause of the problem. I called the leasing office and asked them to think about the pest control company they use (they had not goten rid of the problem thus far; they obviously had not look at the doors and windows - if they had they would have found it). Folks I'm paying rent for myself and roaches - and the roaches are not listed as occupants on my lease!
