At first Riverhorse Ranch looked like a great place to live. We moved in July 2008, and have had a horrible experience from the beginning. First the apartment they showed us we were getting was not the one we received. The girls at the office were suppose to fax our electricity info for us and never did, said it got "lost in the shuffle" then sent us a $200 electric bill for 14 days of electricity. Since then they have losts checks we wrote for the water bills and have charged us double the next month. In the 4 months we have lived here the cops have been outside our apartment 4 different times arresting people who have been living here or hanging around here that are up to no good. There seems to always be drug deals and other suspicious activities going on. I had to call the nighttime security guy once and never got a phone an answer. Once I finally did the response I got was to call the police. The dumpsters are overflowing almost every night, there is trash, furniture and dirty diapers littering the parking lot. Dont let the amenities fool you, both exercise bikes and 1 of the treadmills have yet to be repaired. The steam room and sauna dont work. The bbq pits at the pool are trashed out as well as the beer cans and trash always left behind by the residents. It takes the office staff days to take care of maintenance issues. We and the apartments around us have had a sewage smell coming from our bathrooms and after 3 calls nothing was done. I had to call on a Friday night and was told it wasnt an emergency that it would have to wait until Monday, I have pregnant wife and we could have been breathing in toxic fumes, this is completely unacceptable. The maintenance man finally showed up on Tuesday afternoon 4 1/2 days later. The clubhouse and coffee bar are always dirty and trashed out. Parking is a nightmare, sometimes I have to park on the other side of the complex from my apartment. There are always kids running around in the areas they arent allowed. Many of the people who hang around the basketball facilities and weight rooms as well as the pool arent even residents. Many of the residents around us have moved out since we moved in. Overall this is a horrible place to live, dont let the friendliness from the office staff fool you. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.
