Just this past weekend, I came home and saw that the neighbors had a smoker 2 feet away from their door, which is, first of all, a fire hazard, and 2 about 4 feet from my door. I live upstairs so upon opening my door smoke soon came in and, eventually rose. I called the apartments, keep in mind this is Saturday at 1:30pm, still within their business hours, but no one answered and I left a voicemail with my report and, of course, my cell phone which I carry on me 23/7 (I do take long showers). Now it's Thursday and still no call.

Flash back to Saturday night, Neighbors across the way are smoking right outside their door in their patio, which they can do, but at 10:25pm they decide to start poping firecrackers. Needless to say I am pissed and sleepy and called up the apartments, thinking that if someone can get something done, it would be the Police officer that doubles as our couresy patrol for an obvious cut in his rent. I leave a message and to this day has not given a call back. I called the staff, which sounds like if they're actually going to *do* something over the phone, in regards to the fireworks and they state that the courtesy officer is only available from Monday to Friday, unless it's a lifethreatening emergency. bad bad bad. If I'm dying I'm calling the REAL cops that are awake and not watching TV; not some guy that just signed up for a sweet discout on his bachelor pad.

Suffice to say that this weekend will be ... interesting; and I won't hesistate to give 911 or the fire marshall a ring this time around.

Oh, and since I last posted, the apartments have put up NON WORKING street lights and only about 1 in 8 apartment lights, that are used for visibility and security, are now working.

Only 2 more months, thank god. I will keep on writing here until I move out.
