i NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD THINK THIS SITE WAS A GOOD FORUM, BUT AFTER TODAY I DO. I LIVED AT BISHOPS GATE IN 2002. MY SON IS TERMINALLY ILL AND WE HAD 5 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS IN THE APT SO I GAVE MY 60 DAYS NOTICE AS REQUIRED AND WAS GOING TO PAY THE COST OF RELET UPON MOVE OUT.DID I MENTION THAT I AM PROPERTY MANAGER FOR ANOTHER COMPANY.I AHD MOVED ALL MY THINGS OUT OF THE APT AND CLEANED IT BY NOV 6TH MY RENT WAS PAID THRU NOV 20TH.I HAD ALL MY CHRISTAMS DECORATION,ALL MY WEIGHT LIFING EQUIPTMENT,ALL MY LAWN EQUIPTMENT FROM MY PREVIOUS HOUSE PICTUES AND A NEW BABY CAR SEAT AND OTHER NUMEROUS DECORATIONS LEFT IN THE GARAGE TO MOVE THE NEXT WEEKEND.WHEN I CAME TO MOVE THEM THEY WERE ALL GONE AND I WAS TOLD MAINT THREW THEM AWAY AND THAT THEY HAD NEVER REC MY NOTICE. I SAID I HAD A COPY OF THE NOTICE AND MAINT COULD NOT HAVE THROWN THE STUFF AWAY IT WAS ALL LESS THAT 3 YEARS OLD AND I WANTED IT BACK. THEY SAID THEY LEFT NOTICES ON MY DOOR THAT SOMEHOW I NEVER REC NOR DID THEY TRY TO CALL ME AT WORK IF THEY THOUGHT I WAS SKIPPING LIKE THEY SAID. ANYWAY TODAY I AM BEING SUED BY THEM 3 YEARS LATER AFTER I TALKED TO SCOTT IN LOSS PREVENTION WITH THEIR COMPANY AND PLACED 10 PHONE CALL TO THE REGIONAL AND THE NEW MANAGER BECAUSE AFTER I MOVED OUT THE MANAGER WAS TRANSFERRED SOMEWHERE ELSE.THE REGIONAL DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PROFESSIONAL COURTESY TO EVER RETURN ANY OF MY PHONE CALLS. I WILL BE FIGHTING THEM WITH AN ATTORNEY AND I AM GOING TO COUNTER SUE FOR ALL MY THINGS THAT WERE REMOVED ILLEGALLY!!! SINCE I AM IN THE BUSINESS I KNOW WHAT THEY CAN DO AND NOT DO AND THEY HAVE ILLEGALLY REMOVED MY ITEMS AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE. WISH ME LUCK HOWEVER I THINK IT IS AMLI THAT NEEDS IT THIS TIME

I totally understand what you're going through. I lived there from Jan '03 - Sept '04. I had numerous things happen to me that were very aggrevating. Management is very rude, mean, and unfair. They will screw you over any chance they get! The first apt I lived in, which was the Chelsea, was a decent apt. The walls were thin and shook every time my neighbor downstairs slammed his front door, but other than that, I had no huge maintenance issues. The apt was clean and was not worn. I did have a huge issue with ants! I couldn't keep anything in the cabinets in the kitchen or bathroom! I had to keep everything in sealed containers and/or the fridge. The office claimed that no one had ever complained of ants before and gave me baits to set out. It didn't help, I had to treat my apartment with Raid quite frequently to keep them out of site.
The parking was a nightmare. There were not enough spaces for residents. Visitors would take all the available open spaces and leave no room for residents. Once, I parked in a "reserved" space that was vacant. The office had my car towed without even contacting me. I had to find a friend to take me all the way to some white trash impound lot in Wylie. It cost me $200 to get it out. I blew up in the office and they were very rude to me. I still feel like getting even with them.
Eventually, I decided to move to a townhouse with a garage on the other side of the property. I only lived in it for 3 weeks. The day after I moved in, I started seeing roaches! Big ones, little ones, you name it! It was so disgusting. I complained to the office and the --- manager at the time told me that he has never heard of anyone at the complex having a roach problem. Somehow, I find that hard to believe. The way they were coming out of the woodwork in my townhouse, it was apparant that it was infested!!! I was willing to move at the any cost, however, something amazing was brought to my attention by management... They called saying that I had forgotten to sign my lease. I had only initialed the first page. I never signed the page which makes it legal and binding. It was a miracle and I was able to get the heck out of there asap with no penalty! I quickly found another apartment and got out of there.
I did have some trouble getting my deposit back, but after calling headqtrs and the leasing office everyday for about 6 months, I finally got it out of them. But, not before much lying and deceptive behavior. They would claim that they mailed it on this day or that day, but I wouldn't get it.. I finally got my money.
I can't remember the name of the leasing agent when I was there, but she was one rude little -----! Luckily, she was dumber than dirt and failed to have me sign my lease. That saved me from the roaches!
