I do not recommend it

I moved to Ashley Park in July. Our experience has been...well, lets just say, NOT the best. Within the first month the ceiling over our stairs was leaking. I'm not talking about a little leak, I woke up and walked downstairs to find the carpet SOAKED and my downstairs bathroom flooded! I told the office first thing in the morning and it took them two days to clean up the mess and another 2 weeks to get the roof fixed. EXCUSE ME, I know if it were their place they would have it fixed immediately. It has been just about six months since that incident and my ceiling where the leak was is now stained yellow (disgusting) and I told the maintenance man about it and nothing was done.
This was definitely a learning experience that you get what you pay for. OH wait, no you don't. I pay nearly $700 a month for a one bedroom and the complex has a really disgusting pool that is infested with shady people all summer long. This is the only complex I have ever seen that does not have a gym or a business center. I guess that's what you get when you live in government assisted apartments.
I am moving out just as soon as possible. The only other thing I have to say is I am thankful for being smart and only signing a 6-month lease. Oh for those of you who don't know your rent goes up $50 if you want to resign a 6-month lease and $40 for a 1-year lease. Makes total sense.
