I used to live here way back in 1997-1999 when it was called Jefferson at Preston. I recall enjoying the place quite a bit - the pool area, the basketball court, the car wash in the back, bicycling the neighborhoods was great. Pretty safe area compared to others, although the local area was openly tense regarding racial relations. Not too much noise from the reclusive neighbors. From reading some of the reviews, I don't understand some of the heavy-duty criticism (must be the new staff) although I can see Heather still works there! The rent did go up significantly during the last couple of months. All in all, I do miss the place quite a bit.
