The apartment we have (2 bedroom, 1 bath) is gorgeous. We got the "upgraded" model, so our floors & countertops are tile/granite, and we have a great view of the golf course. We live on the bottom floor, but we rarely hear the people above us and NEVER hear the people next to us. The complex is, over-all, pretty quiet, but we live close to the back.
The parking situation is okay most of the time; they're switching to giving every apartment a covered parking spot, so we'll see how that goes.
This is definitely a dog-friendly complex. The walking trails are really nice, and most people have dogs.
The only major complaint we have with the management. With the exception of the actual manager (Jennifer McFadden) the office staff are all idiots. No one returns calls or follows through with ANYTHING. They rarely pick up the phones, even during the day, and I have never had a phone message actually returned. The girls are all nice, but there's always somebody new (we've lived there a month, and met probably 15 different girls that work there) and nobody knows what they're doing.
If you do move there, know in advance that the only way to get ANYTHING done is to speak to the manager. I know it's a big complex, but I've never seen such incompetency from a staff.
Also, get everything in writing, especially what they promise you during the tour. We were told we'd have black on black appliances, two covered parking spots, and a side-by-side fridge. The girl later denied the first two statements, and the side-by-side wouldn't fit in our apartment (at least they gave us a concession on our rent for that). We were also quoted incorrectly on our rent, but they realized the mistake when filling out our lease, and made good.
All in all, better than our last apartment (the Legends at Ridgeview Ranch, in Plano, TX), with only slightly more headaches than most places we've lived.
