My husband and I relocated from MO and I had a very limited amount of time to find somewhere to live. So, I come to Bella Vida and I'm relieved as I had been spending time looking @ rental homes -BAD, BAD idea! Felt like this could work and it did have the space that I was looking for. Well, part of this is my fault as I haven't lived in an apartment before, but I'm the first place right next to the gate and the club house...WELL let's just say that the noise, rudeness of CONSTANT squealing tires, SUPER loud radios, drunks at literally ALL hours of the night and the terrible lack of follow through by Maintenance has me frustrated and hating life.

Parking for us, we can't say anything because we have a 2 car garage, but the lack of parking wouldn't be such a problem if they would actually enforce rules about cars that haven't moved...for MONTHS! They don't seem to care, though.

When we moved in, our apartment wasn't ready...which confused me because it was vacant when I saw it over a month before. So, we ended up in a guest apartment for a few nights while they finally decided to fix our a/c. I don't know why this wasn't done before hand, but as I've learned - the lack of communication, caring and workers here is pretty much the reason why. Within the first week, we had to have a new water heater put in - you could clearly see that the old one was rusted through -but again, no one looked and checked things before we got here. That was a mess and a nightmare. Then, right next to us is where everyone cuts through which has been a muddy, mosquito infested mess for going on 4 months now. I have told the staff, I have emailed requests and still nothing! It's a sprinkler head that's broken, and you would think that the grounds keepers would notice when they are mowing MUD!

Anyhow, my biggest complaint is the noise and lack of respect from people. But, the other big issue with this place is the payment system. They want you to pay online - which I have no problem with, but 2 times in a ROW the company that they used screwed up my payments (which were sent at LEAST a week before rent was due). When I would notice that the payment had not cleared my bank yet, I would go over to the office and ask them to be sure that everything was okay - to which my answer was always yes as they would see the payment from the company that they use. Well, BOTH times I would get a letter in my door telling me that my rent was late, then issuing me a bounced check fee, and a late fee on top of that!!!! HELLO''''' So, I went over VERY unhappy and had to supply them with PROOF that I had the money in the bank - and it was not an issue on my end. I supplied them with bank statements, copies of my check register and was told that the manager would be in touch...well gee, I NEVER got a call. I went over and also called a few times and was NEVER given a response - which is very frustrating because I have NO idea what they did with all that info that they have of mine that is....CONFIDENTIAL! Needless to say - I don't use their online system any more, but the frustration that I have put up with is inexcuseable!

I have 6 more months to be stuck in this H*LL hole and it's going to be a LONG 6 months.

Just remember...just because something LOOKS nice and "maintained"....it's only trying to make up for what it's LACKING!!!!

Please take picture before you leave to verify the condition of the place...You will need them. Also, since you have pissed them off, be prepared not to get all or most of your deposit back. The apartment I am in now has numerous ex Bellavida residents and virtually all say that their deposits were forfeited for unknown or outrageous reasons. I am planning on pursuing litigation shortly for the same reason. Also, the management was notorious for talking to residents about other residents. 'Dishing the dirt' so to speak. I know of someone that was appalled by this and reported the management staff for doing it to their corporate headquarters. They got a letter a week later saying their lease was not going to be renewed and had to leave....Two of my doors were damaged prior to our move in. The repair seemed to be done with a toothpaste looking substance instead of replacing the doors...We were told the doors would be replaced...They never were...
