The management at this facility is very unresponsive and unprofessional and uses bait and switch tactics. If you think you will ever get your deposits back you better just kiss it good bye. After going through a final walk through with management and they noted no problems or any damage they now claim there was never a walk through and are holding back a $700 deposit and cannot give a valid reason only saying they replaced the carpet which they admitted only cost $230 and was just normal wear and tear. At most complexes carpet usually is replaced when new tenants move in.
The building looks nice from the outside but inside the management is very dishonest. Plano has many other facilities that are much more honest. Try Old Sheppard Place on Preston and Parker. They are very honest and will not rip you off.

I never even got to the point of signing a lease and got ye olde rip off. After reading enough horrible things on hear and waiting 2.5 weeks for them to run my debit card for a deposit, I called to cancel. Whoever I spoke to apparently only relayed that I wanted to back out of the lease, and two days later my deposit was run (in addition to paying deposit at my new place). Once I called to get it reversed, I was told I'd now have to wait 30 days to get it back and they refused to release $125 of it citing "administrative fees". What for I don't know. Application fee was waived and there was no paperwork. Sheisty - that's the only way I can think to describe it. AND YES -----/-------- - I'm specifically targeting you two as providing rediculously poor customer service and for subsequently snatching my hard earned money for your lack of professionalism.
Anyone with a clue needs to avoid this like the plague. I'm ashamed to admit I seriously was gonna move there now!

Yea ----- is the same one that would not handle my deposit properly and was a total B----. One other point ------ the Manager will never return your phone calls. I'm contacting an attorney and will be contacting the Plano BBB. Just an FYI when I moved in the rating here was 92% it really went down hill in one year. It shows that the problem is management ------ ----- etall

Here are some links to some sites that might give you some information that might be helpful in getting (both of) your money refunded.======
Texas Apartment Association: http://www.taa.org/
The Apartment Association of Greater Dallas:

State Bar of Texas - Tentants' Rights:

====== I have been on this Apartment Ratings list for ~2 years (for Bella Vida) and I have never ever seen it's rating that high (92%).

Remember, they ahve 30 days to return your deposit, or the LAW states you get 3x the deposit, PLUS 100 dollars. I filed a civil case which cost me 65$, and guess what? I got 3x the deposit plus 100 settled out of court. Yes, sometimes the law does work.

Yup, get the actual laws down, and let them know you don't play games. You might even get paid.
BTW, you aren't required to pay for wear and tear items. Carpet is considered a wear and tear item. Lots of apartments try to pull that one.

I am getting the run around on the issue of the "normal wear & tear on the carpet also. They twist everything around just to avoid dealing with you and keeping your hard earned money. i had a walk through before Ii left in May. not a word was said to me about the condition of the carpet nor that it would have to be placed., just needing cleaning. Normal procedure, i was told by the leasing agent who is no longer there, because they change management and agents like I change my shoes. When i moved in the carpet was new but fleas ridden from the previous tenants. i spent 300.00 in vet bills and had my apt bombed for weeks plus i bombed on my own. When i wore white socks, the fleas were so bad that it looked like black dots all over my socks. my cat has never has fleas before. ----- is telling me that my cat that my cat damaged it by urinating all over the carpet. Helllo... Se used a kitty litter box at all times. Always!!! They was a dog that lived there before I moved in and he damaged the padding under the carpet that I am told my a professional carpet service. Now i am paying for their :cheap" way to save a buck, NEWS FOR YOU... I AM NOT GOING AWAY, NO WAY!!! NEVER!!! According to the Renter's assocation as well as a lawyer that is common with these carpet issues. I REFUSE to lei go. Who do you people think you are? You have a fight on your hands and i am not going away. refund my money, if not you and the corporation will regret it very soley...No threat just a promise! You know who I am, so pay up what is owed to me or i'll get you for more than just the refund, you will go will down in a huge way and will not have any choices or options, IT STARTS NOW, MAKE IT RIGHT, your choice...but it's very limited on your part and YOU will lose in a big, big way...#511.
