Five (5) Management Changes Within Two (2) Years ... What does this say'

I recently learned that the so-called "owners" management team that took over in February of 2008 has all been replaced with yet (again) except for Julie. For me, this makes 5 management changes within the two years that I have lived within this community. This tells me that the owners nor the management teams really care for the tenants - the owner is just out for the almighty buck. Most all improvements that were discussed at the town hall meetings is just another promise that was not meant to happen. Seems that the importance at Bella are pretty mailboxes, and pool furniture - not "working" gates. Too add insult to injury, the owners have the nerve to increase the rents - change the water company and add a pest control fee either to the rent and/or the water bill. So, those of you that have not checked your water bill and possibly have renewed your lease, you are being hit twice for the same service!! When I moved into this complex two years ago, it was relatively nice for the price all the amenities, but many of these amenities have either changed a lot or have been taken away. We are now charged 10.00 per month for curbside trash pick up that was considered one of the amenities as well as 10.00 per month per pet as a "pet fee" which over and above the pet deposit. This is a new charge. Due to financial reasons I am unable to move at the moment, but have set the gears in motion to be out of here when my lease expires.

I have been here on property and although there have been many changes that are out of my control I am happy to see the return of the original manager Jennifer Mcfadden. As we look outside ???our??? community you will find the world is changing. With the presidential race behind us we can now focus on our day to day lives and what changes we can take a stand on and those that must change to get the desired result. There will be changes we don???t like and those will be the one???s that hopefully will bring a great overall change. We need to find out what???s important. Pick are battles so to speak. Jennifer has not been back that long and cannot restore order overnight. Those of you who has been a resident here as long as I can respect the fact that she is back. Let me be the first to welcome her back to a very different property to the one she left and help her in bringing us back to the standards we once could expect at Bella Vida. To you naysayer???s who feel like any positive feedback is coming from employees of Bella Vida let me assure you I am a simple resident who lives in building ???20??? I have faced some of the same difficulties that some of you have, but I look at the bigger picture. Please remember the definition of a fool is ??? A person who does things the same way expecting a different result??? we cannot expect a difference without change. If you are afraid of change how can you expect a difference. Sincerely, Nikki

There is a difference between change, and completely ruining things. And what does the presidential race have to do with anything? I'm pretty sure management wasn't running for president.

The sad thing is Management can only control so many things. The bottom line is she can't make adults be adults. It's one thing typing a negative review on here, but what 'if' you were the manager here? Could you truly get the things done that needs to be done. You could live in Turtle Creek in the luxury high rises and I bet they are complaining about things too... there is no way around it. It's like saying you expect the president to prevent crime from now on. He can't control everyone. Give her a break. I'm not kissing a-- either, but am someone who is realistic.

To TLGBP - thanks for the explanation - I had not looked at it on this perspective. Nonetheless, with that being said, it is still a frustrating matter when trying to cope with management that changes more often than our seasons. At this point, I believe that whomever is in control is allowing "anyone" to move in whereas before they seemed to screen the tenants more closely. On this note, and admitting that I am a much older tenant, I plan to move when my lease is up. I do not feel that Bella will make any rock hard improvements within the next 5 months, and with their track record we will probably have two more management changeovers. Again, thanks for the insight.

It has been a while and I didn't realize the response from you (Anonymous-Nikki). I totally understand your frustration. It is very sad and irritating when someone spends their hard earned money for onething and get another. I moved to Texas in May 2008, and was referred to the Park on Preston by a locator. I moved 1000 miles to be here since my husband took a job in Dallas. I was pissed and upset by what i experienced there and moved to Frisco. I am satisfied where I am, but would like more amenities. I know I must be careful for what I ask for, since amenities does not make a good complex. What I do know that Apartment complexes and Nursing Homes changes staff like we change underwear. I had a nice manager where I am now. She was a bit quirky and wasnt aware of the way things were when the previous manager was here, but she was trying. Some people didn't like her 'quirky' ways or the fact that she was new here and wasn't moving as fast as some of my fellow neighbors would have liked her too and the company got rid of her and another agent realized that she had to really do work and she quit (got fired) lol. So, some of the things we had are on hold while the staff is being replaced and I know it is hard on the agent left. But I still very much like it here. It is generally quiet eventhough the wall are kind of thin. But, like i said previously, I researched, utilized my locator, visited often and made an informed decision. I hope everything works out for you. My recomendation is to stay in the suburbs, you get more for your money. Be Blessed. TL
