I moved in earlier this year and when we signed our lease they put 2 gate remotes and 2 mailbox keys but we did not receive the gate remotes. They told us that they were in the process of fixing the gates so when they were fixed we would get the remotes. They sent out notices in July to make sure to get your phone numbers before a certain time or it would not be programmed into the system box. They finally gave out remotes in September or October and the gates have just now started working sometimes. They only gave us one remote because we have a one bedroom apartment, when I come home if the gates are closed I have to call myself from the box to open it. They put in new mailboxes and we had no notice of it so all the mail that was there was sent back to the post office until the new ones were installed. Then when they new ones were there we only got 1 mail key instead of the 2 we had because again we only had a one bedroom apartment. The water company changed and we are being billed 2 times for the same service and now for pest control service. Pest control service and curb side pick up are part of the amenities so why should we be charged for them, it just does not make sense and we are not happy about it. We are looking for other apartments because we are not planning on renewing, especially when I am reading that rent is going up $150 when renewing. We have found other places that are just as nice if not better that are better priced and the management seems to be better.

Don't pay for remotes. You are wasting your money. They will find a way to keep your remote deposit anyway, and besides, the front gates are either broken ("Oh, sorry, our phone lines are down...blah, blah, blah") or the back exit gates are always BROKEN and open. It's a shame that such a beautiful complex has to be run by a bunch of incompetent goons.
