I only have lived in 3 apartment complexes, and this one took the cake. This place use to be a great place to live, until new management took it over about 2 or 3 years ago. Once management came in, staff was unfriendly, incompetent, and difficult to deal with. Everytime I would come in, there was also this one staff person always crying and upset about something. The parking spaces around the front and side of the grounds is limited so they could charge a fee to park in a garage. Their gate in the front never works, most of the time it was off its track and didn't work, and it would take several days for them to call a repair guy. They did have a great repair team, until they fired all of them in 2006, and got cheaper help (sometimes going cheap is not the best solution). Everytime your renewal would come up, they would raise the rates like they are some high-end luxury apartments. I never understood the raising of rates when there is a lower income HUD apartments just 150 yards away. The gym is very small and creepy at nights. DO NOT rent an apartment around the pool or the gates unless you like hearing noises through the night. And for the deposit, forget about collecting on it. Management will come up with charges and then send their hounds after you, because they will charge you more than your deposit. If you do decide to rent, stay on top of everything because management is so incompetent that there were a few times I had to straighten out bills they tried to make me buy. Anwways, I recommended this apartment to a friend years ago, but I am glad to chose someone else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE. Remember, there are many other apartments around that area that are far better than this one.

Well I do not live there but I do have a friend that does. In reply to what you said about rent increases you said you did not live in luxury well this seems odd you would say that since 150 yard the other direction is million dollars homes. You live in Willow Bend !!!! It don't come much more than that. And if you can name a place that does not charge exstra for a garage that is in that area good luck. If they are attached it is in the rent still. As well as renewal you complain about rent increasing did you expect it to stay the same in reality. Milk, gas, taxes it all goes up. This is not a property choice it is a market choice. Sorry for your distress but before complaining investigate : )

I completely agree with this review-yes-we did go to college-but Im questioning how much we learned after getting conned into moving here.... Even though we have our thermostat set to 76 degrees-it is constantly over 80 degrees in the apartment. When we call management-they seem to be concerned-but never actually do anything but clean the unit and change the filter-even after we tell them that it didn't help-they sent a guy over to say there is nothing else they could do. So, because of the poor quality of the buildings and limitations of management-we are stuck paying hundreds of dollars in electricity every month. The gates are not always working-which is a safety issue. And not to be too personal-but there were a couple of times when we would go to the office-and the staff would be dressed inappropriately-children do not need to know what color the office staff's undergarments are. The cleanliness of the place is a major issue as well. When we moved in-there was feces (human poo to use the vernacular) all over the master bathroom, mold in the vast majority of the cabinets, dark hair plastered to the wall where they painted without cleaning, food particles and dust everywhere-I have pictures to prove it as well. We pay for water-and yet-there were multiple times throughout the summer months where the complex was flooded because THEIR sprinkler system broke-guys-WE PAID FOR THAT WATER! Please-if you do not want to pay an outrageous amount for utilities and want a clean environment for you're family-Think twice before moving here!
