This apartment complex is a joke. It's had three burglaries since I moved in (August 2003), and those are the ones that were reported, who knows how many "attempts" there have been. The management is very rude. They know the place is going downhill fast, it's pretty obvious when they ask "So are you renewing your lease here' C'mon!" jokingly to every tenant who comes through the office. I think the worst aspect is the horrible construction and maintenance problems. I lost count of how many floods I've had in my apartment, gee thanks for the structural damage Brentdale! Not to mention there have been several occasions where the entire building went without hot water for days (this occurred in the middle of winter, of course). My air conditioning is a joke; I wondered why it wasn't blowing as cold as it should, it turns out no one bothered to clean the filter unit. And upon cleaning the unit, I discovered standing water... yes, standing water which equals breeding grounds for mildew and what not. Half of my windows won't shut properly. The light switches are backwards, there isn't even a ceiling light in the living room, I have to use a lamp. The dishwasher wasn't working when I moved in because the kitchen cabinetry had been waterlogged and basically rotted away, so the dishwasher didn't fit flush with the cabinets. The jacuzzi outside the pool doesn't work, no bubbles at all, just hot water. I can get the same effect by taking a bath. *sigh* The list goes on. Point is: DO NOT RENT HERE. You get what you pay for. Actually, you get less than what you pay for.
