This place has gone downhill, fast. Where should I begin. The office staff is horrible. Example, I came in to make a complaint about a neighbor's constant loud noise at all times of the night, they said "there's nothing we can do about it". I've also left several messages and have never once gotten a return call on issues. The community got a big influx of Katrina victims and with it many "shady" people hang out around the complex now. Also, they must have lowered their restrictions on who can move in, looks like anyone gets in now. The brook that runs through the property is filled with trash and has a bad smell. The walls are so thin you hear anything and everything: music, raised voices, people having sex. There are rats in the area between the 1st level ceiling and 2nd level floor, they run around constantly. The parking is bad, at times I have to park 2 buildings AWAY from mine (apparently they have no limit on cars you can have/park).
Overall, with the new shady tenants they let now let in, the Brooks is no longer a family complex that it once was but more of a younger twenties place with loud noise, balcony parties, people in the parking lots at all times of the night - and has a staff that refuses to do anything about it. So if that doesnt fit your style, THERE ARE MANY BETTER CHOICES IN THE SAME AREA WITHOUT ALL THESE WORRIES, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T EVEN BOTHER VIEWING, TRUST ME.
