Just got a notice that upon renewal of leases this year residents will have to pay an additional $27 per month for trash pickup. Many of us don't feel this is fair since we take our trash to the dumpster ourselves to avoid identity theft. Hope you change your mind, Camden.

Yes, but the Complex is upfront about its COST and not hidden in Rent... which is still very competitive. Puts the onus on the resident to keep his/her HOME clean. Makes sense to me and it shows, with very clean grounds. Gee, what a concept... a ProActive Community!

Sounds more like yet another el cheapo and frequently common way by the owners to get more income from the rental properties! Instead of raising rents by $27 a month, let's just quit including in it the rent and start charging it to the renters separately. Competive? I don't think so. Where I am staying now at a different apartment the charge is less than $25 a month, includes trash AND water AND sewer, and INCLUDES curbside trash pickup. $27 is way, way too much to pay especially if you have to carry your own trash to the dumpsters. Put the onus on the resident to keep his/her HOME clean? Ummmm.. sure if it is the inside of his/her home (good luck in enforcing that). But isn't keeping the grounds and surrounding areas of the apartment supposed to be included in the cost of the monthly rent? Isn't that what the low pay, Spanish only speaking immigrant (if not illegal - another cost savings) groundkeepers supposed to be doing? Please.. it is was it is... quit trying to sugar coat this obvious rip off with all this joy joy happy happy B.S.!!!
