I lived in these apartments for about 8 months. I orginally had a 1 bdrm then switched to a 2 bdrm where my troubles started. My heater went out one night in the dead of winter. I called maintenance who came out the next morning and told me he fixed whatever was wrong. After burning my heater for another 3 hours I call back and was told to give it a little time to kick in. Another 3 hrs. later maintenance was back out telling me the cold air was coming from the fire place which I had to burn to keep from freezing. Later that day maintenance FINALLY discovered a bad heating element and replaced it. That month I got my first electric bill for that apartment which was close to $700.00. Figuring it was because of the heater problem I went on with life. The next month's bill was around $500.00 I complained to the office that something was wrong and they told me it was the electric company. After having the electric company come out 3 times each time at a charge to me it was concluded that it was their problem. Next months bill was close to $500 and I was drowning. Maintenance came back out and discovered a hole in the duct which should have been discovered on the first trip 2 months before hand. I was told it was the electric company I was using but I know how to read KWH. In the end I had to break my lease which I was charged for and set up a payment arrangement with the electric company.

Again, another "anonymous" person. I live her and my electric bills have ranged anywhere between $200 - $300. I live in a 1600 2 bedroom apartment with 2 a/c units. Mine was very high in December due to the major electric increases. Don't you watch the news and read the newspaper?
