Wonder if its as good as it was for us

Lived here for 4 1/2 years under old management and before refurbishing. Experience was great primarily due to size of apartment for the money and maintenance staff. Considering moving back, although impossible to know if today would be poorer, better, or about the same.
Apartments are quite large and well laid out. Complex isn't fancy or for young partying group, but simply a good place to call home. My solid experience has me strongly considering a return there.
Parking-Generally was able to get very close to apartment and even those times spaces were taken the available parking just wasn't that bad. Spaces were not assigned although seemed to informally become so just by habit.
Noise-Typical apartment noise. We could hear when upstairs neighbors got into major fights (over 65 years old but they appeared to drink heavliy and then fight some nights).
Grounds-Grounds were always excellently maintained.
Safety-Although no gates or anything, I never felt any concern about safety although I'm sure over time there were some parking lot break ins. Any complex which claims otherwise regardless of security is not being completely honest.
Construction-Overall very good construction but certain aspects although well maintained do reflect age. Specifically the bay windows while beautiful are great for letting hot and cold in. One must put up thick drapes over them which really isn't that expensive. Appliances have all been redone and other aspects updated with exception of tubs.
Maintenance-Never had any job not completed on same day. However, neither of maintenance men, who both lived on site, are still there, so cannot be used at all to reflect today's level of maintenance.
Staff-Staff was efficient, but at least one member could be quite unfriendly. She also is no longer there. Current staff appears friendly, but I lack any real knowledge today.
Overall-Incredible size for rent, even with increases. Refurbishing well done. Since I'm strongly considering moving back, I obviously would recommend. For me it becomes large modern complex with 700-750 square feet for $750-900 or small older, but good, community with 980 square feet for $750-800. Also, location is so convenient to everything in Plano and Richardson.
