I moved in about 8 months ago and I can't believe what I have experienced at this place. My electric bills have ranged anywhere from $400 to $600, there are plumbing back-ups every other week, the window leaks water when it rains, I have no screens, and the girl in the office is so loud and talks down people. She would be better suited to work in a trailer park. I have asked to speak to the manager and she has told me that he was going to tell me the same thing she has told me. Yes, the place does look nice inside but come on, I could find a better apartment for the price that they are charging. I received a renewal and they want to raise my rent $100, are you people crazy' I found a new complex with an attached garage and it is $200 less than what these people are charging. I only have two months left and I will be out of this upscale getto.

I THINK YOU ARE A BIT CONFUSED, THE TALL BLONDE THAT WORKS IN THE OFFICE IS FAR FROM DUMB, SHE IS ACTUALLY EXTREMELY BRIGHT, WHICH I CANT QUITE SAY FOR YOUSELF! ANYWHO, I HAVE LIVED HERE AT CHISHOLM PLACE FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND I LOVE IT! THE STAFF IS GREAT AND ITS A GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE. NOT THAT I HAVE TO DEFEND ANYONE, BUT SINCE I DID MOVE HERE BECAUSE OF THE AWESOME GIRL THAT WORKS IN THE OFFICE AND SHE IS A FRIEND OF MINE AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS WHO LIVE HERE, IT SOUNDS LIKE MAYBE YOU HAVENT GIVEN HER A CHANCE. AND ANYONE THAT WILL BELITTLE ANOTHER PERSON IS VERY INSECURE AND MOST LIKELY JEALOUS. YEAH THEY DO NEED MORE LANDSCAPING AROUND HERE, BUT THEY LOOK GREAT INSIDE AND ITS THE QUIETEST COMMUNITY THAT I HAVE EVER LIVED AT. I FIRST MOVED HERE WHEN THE RENOVATIONS WERE GOING ON. VERY NOISY AND BOTHERSOME AT TIMES, BUT WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MADE. I HAVE LIVED IN PLANO FOR ABOUT 7 YRS NOW AND ALWAYS PASSED BY THIS PROPERTY, BUT NEVER STOPPED UNTIL I NOTICED THEY WERE MAKING CHANGES FOR THE BETTER. OVER ALL THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL, AND AS FAR AS THE GIRL IN THE OFFICE SHE IS APPARENTLY MUCH MORE INTELLIGENT THAN YOU WILL EVER BE. OH YEAH I FORGOT ONE MORE THING, I PRAY THAT YOU ARE NOT MY NEIGHBOR, WHAT A NIGHTMARE THAT WOULD BE!

Well, here I am again. I read this and the next review referring negatively to the girl in the office. I guess she gets noticed a lot because she's beautiful. But she's also always been nice and kind to me and bubbly, brightening my day. However, thats not really the point. I know things aren't perfect. Unfortunately, the person below me is moving out because she can't see herself making the sacrifices to afford the rent increase. I can picture that some day happening to me and would be quite disappointed. On the other hand, we can each only judge by our own experiences. I've been happy with my apartment in every way since I moved in. I have a second floor unit with maybe the best view in the complex. However, I recently have been diagnosed with serious lung disease and whereas I thought walking up and down the steps would be good for me, now I'm approaching the time I will not be able to do so, either without oxygen or at all. I approached the office about the apartment below me which is becoming available. As the manager is new she couldn't tell me immediately how a move could be accomplished. However, she promised to get with Corporate yesterday, since a representative would be on site, and call me by the end of today. Kerry (yes the tall nice and beautiful assistant who seems popular to attack-wonder if she just turned some of these people down on date requests or something) called me around noon today. I must say I'm more than pleased with their treatment of me and accomodation of my condition and circumstance. Furthermore, while some decisions are corporate, I got a sincere feeling of compassion and care from Kerry and Shirley. As someone who prefers to pretend where I can that nothing is physically wrong with my health, it was very comforting to get such response and understanding from them. It made me want even more to stay here as long as I'm able. I guess I ask for professionalism and expect that and have certainly found that here. However, I've gotten a sense of caring and of community from both the maintenance staff and the office staff. When I request something from either I feel like a valued friend rather than a pain in the butt. As I face future health challenges its so nice to know I live somewhere where I'm more than a number. Simply, I like living here and I consider all the employees friends in spite of limited contact with them. Guess you can expect then when my friends are attacked I'll disagree. I was surprised before I moved in that everyone in and out of the office even for repairs seemed to relate to them as friends. So, one final thought. Maybe if you or any other tenant here or elsewhere think of the staff as your friends and try to approach them that way, you'll get the same returned and find your stay so much more pleasant. Yes, I know it doesn't always work, but sure won't hurt to try. There are newer, fancier apartments for the same price or less. However, none that I would choose over my home here. I have a great floor plan, reasonable rent (although who wouldn't prefer lower), peace and quiet and good neighbors, and a management and maintenance staff that I can't thank enough.
