Cottages at Tulane formerly Bristlecone Apartments

I have been reading all of the reviews of this property, and I have to say, it makes me feel better that I am not the only one disliked it. I lived in the apartment before it got remodeled, and it was not horrible, but it was not the best either. At the time, it was the cheapest (but oldest) of the area. So, I liked the location, which is why I stayed. They were switching names at the time of me living there. I moved out May 06, and in May 07 I started having a creditor calling about $700 worth of charges they put on my credit report. I had no idea about this until one year later when a collection agency got a hold of it. Now, since it's new management, I can't find an original bill for what I am being charged for. It's very frustrating to just have to pay for something because you are in a bind...I can't get a new place until I pay this place off, and I don't want to pay because I don't know what I am paying for...see the catch-22' My biggest advice to ANYONE moving out of an apartment is get a signature and take pics of how you leave it because all apartments can screw you and some of them WILL.

Dispute the charges through experian. they will have 30 to 45 days to prove why you owe the charges and if they cant--it has to be removed.
