My experience is okay...and no, I'm not with management!

I am a real resident at Creekside. I've read the posts: some of them are true, some are exagerations, and some really make me laugh!
1.) The electricity bills are very high! The walls are thin, but the noise hasn't been that bad in my experience. The apt does take forever to warm up, and then it's spotty. I will freeze in my living room, but my bedroom is a sauna. So, I'll have a fire going in the LR, and two fans going in the BR...and that's after closing the vents in the BR.
2.) Can't comment on the construction as I'm not a contractor or inspector, like some people think they are. However, the maintenance staff has been absolutely fantastic. They are quick and thorough, and the small issues I've had were quickly resolved.
3.) Management' They've always been very friendly and helpful to me. Some cowards on here will insult members of mgmt, but I think they've always been pretty good. Penny is direct, but not a b.... She has been very patient and friendly to me, and she always does what she says she will do. ..which is rare in this business once you move in. One thing, though...the office closes sometimes with no notice and no signs. Very strange. Bad business if a tenant needs something or has an emergency or a package being delivered.
4.) Cable sucks. You have to go with Grande, who has VERY limited programming and is a rip off. You can get a satellite if you're fortunate to have a clear view of the southern sky...which is rare here. The folks at Grande are jerks, and the charge you an arm and a leg for crappy cable and the reception is fuzzy. They do need to be dragged into the 21st century on this amenity. This issue really drops the quality of life here...GET COMCAST!!!!!
5.) Never has bug issues except for the teradactyls that hover around the outside lights. If they fly into you, expect to take a trip to the ER. I have had limited experience with screaming coyotes, but they do call animal control and it's sporadic. I don't think that they can necessarily control it. I do, however, keep my dog close to me when walking him as I do worry about him becoming a snack.
6.) If you fairly shop this market, you will find that the rent is fair. I spent several months looking at tons of complexes, and this one offered a pretty good deal for what you get....you do, however, make up for it in utilities.
Overall, it's not bad here. I've lived in three apts at this complex, and really haven't experienced some of the complaints that the other, obviously, disgruntled tenants have. I think that they are fair and responsive. Some of the things that people complain about are just part of apartment life no matter where you live. If you don't like it, buy a house.
