My son and I moved in our apt in April. I moved my mom here 6 months prior to relocating here. I was a current Equity Apt client. The manager at my previous apt recommended Cree-side. When I toured with my mom she loved them and so did I. I will say this ... ----- - in the office is WONDERFUL! My mom has had no problems with her apt. I on the other hand have had one very annoying and potentially health threatening issue. My upstairs neighbor has 2 dogs and they do NOT clean up behind them. The day I moved in I had to call maint to have them remove all the poop from in front of the apt. You have to pass my neighbors door and the grass area to get to my front door which is in a short breezeway. Maint came right out and removed 10 lbs of poop. He told me right then that he -new the culprit, she had been fined numerous times and to -eep calling in. So, for the first 3 months I made almost daily "Poop duty request" calls to the office. I was told the tenant was fined a couple of times. Now I -NOW this is a breach of the lease and my previous apt mgr would NOT have tolerated this repeated offense. Needless to say with the rent as high as it is here I truly believe my neighbor loo-s at her fine as a "poop scoop fee". Especially since there is apparently no threat of eviction. Now they have gotten a little better but I often see dog poop bagged (in the bags provided 10 feet away from the property provided pet poop disposal) ... left at their front door or in front of their garage. Oddly enough the poop disposal has a large sign above it that says "please clean up behind your pet ... their waste is a health ris-". Outside of -----, I am COMPLETELY unimpressed with the management here. I have filed a complaint with the city health commissioner and Texas Tenants Assoc. I've also began ta-ing pictures of my neighbors leashing their pets to their door and leaving them; allowing them to poop and not pic-ing it up. I do not allow my 9 y/o to play in the grass (the only reason I accepted the location of my apt). I don't let my guests in thru the front door because of the terrible smell (especially with this TX heat) and because of the mosquitos, gnats and other pests related to the pet poop. Wal-ing to my front door is li-e wal-ing through a sewer full of flying bugs!
Other than this ... I have suffered no noise irritations, the only pest inside have been occassional gnats, no maint issues inside the apt that haven't been promptly resolved, no intrusive visits by maint (i'm very unpredictable and often here). BTW ... you can always request a "no entry unless i'm home" rule through the office which prohibits entry into your unit unless you're home. I love the layout of my apt and actually don't mind the rent because of the garage and sq ft. AND my electric bill is surprisingly lower than in the other apt of the same size.
