It has been since April they took my money.
I had to contact their Coprorate office ( couple af times) to get any type of response after leaving messages numerous times, and to date have yet to recieve a 299.00 deposit for an apartment ,much less hear from the actual complex management.
I did not fill out an app for any apartment, much less sign a lease.4 months later and nothing.
I have recieved extremely poor assistance in this matter and I consider them to be crooks at this point.
I know they did not loose leasing the apartment by me asking them to put a hold on it, I had someone else check on that.
I would be really careful about trusting the staff to be honest with you at any point and getting any help thereafter.
See corespondence below:
D***,
I am forwarding your e-mail to the property manager as well as our accounting department who handles all deposit refund checks.
Someone will be in touch in the next day or two.
Thanks
Wendy Officer

Hello Wendy,
I would like to see if you could possible help me with an issue I am having with a property that you all own.
I have been trying to get a deposit refunded back to me.
I have sent an email, let messages with the staff, messages on voice mail for a manger to get in touch with me.
I had gone to look at an apartment back in April.
I had gone in on a Friday afternoon and left a couple of checks to hold the apartment.
One check for 60.00 dollars and the other was a deposit 299.00 for when I came back with the filled out application.
I became very ill Friday afternoon with what the doctor called a viral flu.I was unable to get back to the complex at all, and did not return to work until the following Thursday.
I did completely forget about the apartment due to being to ill.
I received a call on the following Tuesday about the hold on the apartment at my work voicemail about 4:30 PM.
I had called in to check my messages from home.
I immediately called he complex and did not get anyone except voicemail.
I left a message saying I had been out very ill and would have to pass on the apartment for now.
I never received another call from anyone after I left the message.
I understand I had asked for them to hold the apartment for 24 hours only, but they never called my home or cell numbers just my work number.
I appreciate the fact it was held , but it was not my understanding , or made clear to me that they had the right to deposit a check for an apartment deposit that I had not even filled out an application for , much less signed a lease on.
I was exceptionally ill otherwise I would have remembered about getting back to them about the hold sooner.
I consider myself to be very responsible when it comes to things like this, and if I had not been ill this would have never slipped by the wayside on my part.
I am willing to concede the 60.00 for the hold, but a deposit for 299.00 dollars is not something I am willing to concede.
I would let this go if I truly thought I totally mishandled this, but I feel like I am being ignored, and I was out of work.
for about a week being ill, not because I simply chose to be irresponsible.
A deposit for something , not for a hold ( that is what I was told the 60.00 would be for) , otherwise I would have never even left any check there in that amount, I have learned I will never do that again.
I simply would like my deposit back, and for someone to respond.
I would appreciate any help you could provide.

Do not make the mistake of renting in Domaine apartments. I was very dissatisfied by the rude and impolite staff there - Gloria, Alyssa etc. They try to get you in there and then provide no customer service. One more thing - your electricity bill will be huge!!!!!!!

I got ripped off BIG TIME by Alyssa for move out fees. Got charges for carpet cleaning and removal of items. Never received a bill. Went straight to collections. I left the apt spotless. Even had the carpet cleaned 3 times through the office during the two years I was there. When I complained, I got no response. Now I am fighting with a collection company. DO NOT RENT FROM DOMAINE.
