MISERABLE SUMMER IN THE MORLAIX FLOORPLAN

WE ARE SO MISERABLE IN THIS APARTMENT!!!! It is burning hot in the Morlaix floorplan.
There is no air conditioning in the master bathroom and closet area, the laundry room, or the stairwells.
It is SWELTERING hot.
We set the AC at 80 degrees and it blows non stop and still does not cool well! Our electric bills are actually higher than our monthly car payments!! We have asked to be released from our lease and they say NO!!! They won't even let us pay a reletting fee or transfer to another floorplan.
They say we have to buy out the entire remaining 6 months on the lease if we want to move.
We already know the winter here is miserable so we are not looking forward to having to survive the winter months here again!!! Now we have bugs all over the apartment even though we pay a maid to come clean every two weeks and pay the apartment complex money to exterminate.
I don't think they are really using our money for proper extermination.
There are ants in the kitchen and some other bugs in my linen closet upstairs.
The apartment next door to us is empty and I feel sorry for the person who rents it.
The last people only lasted 2 months in that apt.

We are currently doing all that we can to get out of this apartment before it gets any worse this summer.
Be careful before you sign the lease b/c there is no reletting fee and the Connor Group will not return your phone calls and they will do nothing to help you and they will hire a local attorney to keep you in your lease.
They intentionally do not tell you about all of the problems with this apt.

They advertise the Morlaix as this great floorplan when there are not ceiling fans as promised in all rooms AND half the apartment is not even heated or cooled.
It is a terrible apartment for so many reasons that you are not able to notice just by doing a few walk throughs before you sign the lease.
I will be happy to tell you what they WILL NOT tell you if you are considering leasing here.
If you have lived here and have had similar problems please email me your info as we may need some assistance from other similarly situation people if we have to defend ourselves against them when we move out of this apartment.

Domaine is the worst apartment and I have gone thru lots of trouble there myself. No one wants to rent there again. They will promise you so many things and then once you lease, You are on your own. They will charge you lots of unnecessary charges when you move out.

If you have no cool air, you can file a complaint with the CITY of Plano. They will have someone out here in a jiffy. Also it couldf be that your Freon on your unit is running low, thats why the apartment isn't cooling. As far as the pest control fee on our monthly bill, I too wnder what that is about. I have never seen an exterminater here before. The Domaine apartments have seriously gone downhill over the course of my say here. I will not be renewing my lease after it concludes.

I currently live at the Domaine and I had cooling issues. Put in a request to have them change your filters. our electric bill was cut 1/3! Take a look at the ducts where the air is blowing out too...
