Hate, Hate, HATE The Domaine!!

-Maintenance is a complete joke.
They have one guy on staff and he does everything very poorly.
-You have to spell everything out to the office of what you need done to your place.
Then expect at least two week time turnaround.
There is no initiative on anyone's part to take care of their tenants.
(Ex: The ice maker was not hooked up properly in our refridgerator and ended up flooding our kitchen (our first weekend in the unit).
They took it out, ordered a new one, 3 weeks later put it in but did not hook it up.
We still have no ice maker and I'm scared for them to touch it again fearing that we will have another flood)
- Not a single employee in that complex has any sort of work ethic.
(Ex: We found out after our kitchen flooded that the tenants that lived in it before us caused $7,000 worth of damages to the unit.
And because maintenance does such a half---- job on everything, our 'upgraded' unit was nothing like they talked it up to be.
This would have been nice to know beforehand.)
-We are only a full month into finally being settled in and we are counting down the months until our lease is up.
My suggestions to anyone looking to lease here:
-Make sure you look at the unit they are putting you in before you sign any document or pay for anything.
They did not put us in the unit they showed us, so we assumed they were all the same.
Assuming is the worst thing to do while having a lease here.
-Be prepared to follow up with them about everything you request maintenance to do.
-Try to be there as much as possible when maintenance is coming to 'fix' anything.
He will only do the bare minimum (if even that) and then write a slip saying that it was fixed properly if no one is there watching him.
-Take pictures and document everything they do as soon as you sign that lease.
I refuse to pay for ANY of their mistakes and laziness when we move out next year.
-Good luck and I hope a better experience for you!
**UPDATE**
They just got a new manager in the office and she is HORRIBLE! Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I loathe the Domaine with the utmost passion.
Do NOT rent here!! They will screw you over quicker than you think!!!!
